Shoveling Sunday Roll Call
Hello PA!
We woke up to see that it was 3 degrees outside...but the sky is so beautiful, I may get out and take a few pics.
Pam, my thoughts are with your family as you go through the funeral service today. It's always hard to say goodbyes.
Lisa, the hoagie making actually sounds like fun - that's the kind of activity I can get totally wrapped up in!
At this end....
Mike has to go in to work for a while today.
My plans: Put a turkey in the oven to roast (for dinner, and have lots for the freezer and future recipes). Work on my writing for class on Thursday. Possibly sew a little. Skype with granddaughter Ava who is turning 4 today in Michigan. Read. Catch at least part of the game tongiht (rooting for the Colts, in honor of our daughter in law). Most of all, avoid being frantic.
We watched 2 movies yesterday- I am so behind on movies!! Here are my mini reviews:
Up - the best part was the first 10 minutes.
Julie and Julia - really enjoyable! Now I want to read the book!

I liked up - but would have been totally freaked out if I had brought kids with me. I thought it was a bit intense.

Hi all. We dont have much on the agenda today. We are not really football fans so we wont be watching the game at home. we had a few invites, which we would probably attend if it were not so cold and icy outside. I think we will just stay in today and get some more chores done and then relax and watch tv. or a movie. Our lives are about to get real busy so we need this down time.
Jason is outside shoveling the last of the driveway where it hits the road, no reason to do it until all of the plows stop. I am having coffee and doing laundry and will be making him some breakfast when he is done... guess what? FRENCH TOAST LOL

Good morning everyone!
I was basically stuck in the house yesterday as my husband did all the shoveling- I felt bad, but no lifting for me for a couple more weeks! Last night I tried mashed potatoes with some greek yogurt mixed in and it was pretty good! The only problem I am having now is this stupid mucus in my throat, it feels like something is stuck in my throat and won't come out- did anyone else experience this early post op?
Well today we are going to a super bowl party and I will be bringing my cottage cheese, popsicles and pureed soup to eat- I will just try not to look at what everyone else is eating! ha

I was basically stuck in the house yesterday as my husband did all the shoveling- I felt bad, but no lifting for me for a couple more weeks! Joshua is already outside cleaning off my car so we can get out later this afternoon - we are headed to a Super Bowl party - we are only going to hang with friends - no interest in the game - besides - I thought football was over a few weeks ago. Who knew?!?! :)
I have already cleaned up my living room, dining room and started on my kitchen - I did absolutely nothing in the house yesterday - I was too busy being proud of myslef for being outside for so long, shoveling and playing iwht the kids and....NOT HATING IT! Turns out it wasn't the snow I hated, it was the way I was IN the snow - now, bring it! Am actually looking forward to another storm this week. getting fun! :)
Molly is heading out with her new Big Sister in about a half hour for their first "date" :) She is sooo excited - she is all dressed up and wanted to know if the snow melted enough for her to wear her high heels - um....NO!!!!!!!!!! Boots it is! (And needless to say - they are very FASHIONABLE boots, so she will look "put together")
I was REALLY hoping to be off from school tomorrow but it looks as though I will be going in - but with hopes that a few days off later this week will ge me through! And then next Monday off?!?! Way to be there Presidents!!!!!

I'm doing some laundry today. Picked up a bunch of smaller sizes at the Goodwill outlet (clothes are 75 cents!!) and want to wash everything before I wear it. Did my hour on the treadmill. This afternoon, I want to bake some cookies. I'll probably watch the Super Bowl with Paul. Or at least I'll watch the commercials---I have no interest in the game.

I didn't bother to exercise with my Wii yesterday because I figured I got enough exercise with the two plus hours to dig myself out....I actually enjoyed it....Pre banding I would have dreaded the task...I would have been huffing and puffing and completely exhausted. This time, I accompleished the task (I had alot to do) in a descent amount of time. I am hurting a bit this morning but what a difference (the band has made) when snoveling snow this year compared to years past.
