**Sunny Sunny Sunday Roll Call***
Glad you finally get a day off Pam.. you deserve it!!
This morning I am going to revel in the last hour or two of independence that I have. I need to leave here around 10 to go pick up Siehara and her friend at the meeting place in Fort Indiantown Gap.
Once I get her home, I'll help her unpack and probably start on some laundry. I'd like to convince her to come outside with me and take a walk.. maybe we can go over to Trexler Park. It's so beautiful there. I'm not sure how tired she's going to be though, so I'll have to play that by ear. If we do go there, I'll call up a friend who has a daughter Siehara's age so everyone can have girl time with someone their own age.
Other than that, there is nothing much else to do but just relax. I actually did a lot of stuff this weekend and it will be nice to just sit back and do nothing.
Work again middle shift tonight. Hope everyone enjoys the beauiful day. Off to make breakfast...do I smell a little piece of scrapple with some SF apple butter????
Well, it's 2 weeks and counting until i have my revision surgery for my hip and I am in full prep mode at this point. Robb and I have plans with a very good friend this morning for breakfast at IHOP and then it's off to the Asian and regular grocery stores to finish off the shopping for all the prep ahead food I am making in anticipation for surgery. After we get home it's get some stuff prepped for dinner and doing some cleaning around the house. Who knows I may even clean out my freezers, which need it badly.
I don't know why but I have been feeling very domestic the last couple of days. I guess I just want to make sure everything is prepared for when i go in for surgery ... and maybe nerves are starting to hit a bit too. I know that I have been through this before, and I know what to expect, but with every surgery that i go through (and there have been many) the potential of the unexpected always gets to me.
Maybe if I can get the chance I will sit out on the back porch for a while and soak up some of that precious Vitamin D we all need and crave.
I hope everyone has a great day and get done everything that they need or want to do today.
Kris.
Good Aftenoon Pam & PA;
I'm just getting on line today.
Friday my co-workers surprised me with a "graduation party". It was really nice, they had this huge cake which I did cut and hand out. I'm good with bought cakes I DO NOT like them nor the icing that is on them one bit. I only like my homemade cakes and a particular butter cream icing that was my mom's recipe so the cake was absolutely not a temptation
Yesterday we spent the morning and part of the afternoon with some of Gene's classmates. Our Philly group portion of the doctoral class received the responsibility of planning the night before graduation dinner for the entire class - what a pain. But it gets those of us together that have grown very close so was a wonderful day.
After that meeting we went over to Jersey to get me an MP3 player. I am by no stretch of the imagination a technical person. The store I was heading for has closed so I ended up at a Best Buy. I told the young lady that I needed something that was so simple my cat could upload my CD's to it I ended up with a Sony Walkman 8 gig whatever that means. So this morning I've be uploading all my CD's with absolutely no problem - she was right it is simple
I'm still waiting for something to happen that I can't figure out.
We did get up intending to go to chuch this morning, but Gene had a breakthrough for his Pastoral profile so he's been writing that this morning. I on the other hand have been "ripping" CD's why do they call it ripping I wonder? Folding wash that has been in baskets for weeks and putting it away, doing the laundry that needs to be done now, wrote out my shopping list for vitamins, hair products, and make up that I need. I've already been out to WaWa to get Gene his 2 thermo's of decaf coffee. Now I'm getting ready to go down and start making food for the week and packing it up in little containers. I also need to order some more Naglene containers for my protein shakes. I just do not have the time to make them in the moring before work, so I'm going to have to get enough containers that I can make 3-4 of them in advance.
Hope everyone has an awesome day with the sun shining and the temperature in the 50's!!!!
Ida
