*** Super Singing Sunday Roll Call ***
I am hoping that today is another, "sing at the top of your lungs while the car windows are down" kind of day! Yesterday was PERFECT!
Good morning everyone! I am up bright and early to start my day as usual - yup - facebook and OH! Oh - and I have to get ready for Hebrew School. After Hebrew School I am taking the girls to a Girl Scout - Mother/Daughter Luncheon. After that I told Molly that we MAY go see Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We shall see how the rest of the day goes. I am really thinking that coming home and spending a few hours here mightbe in order. HAven't been home in a while for any length of time.
So - after the amazing time at LIz's yesterday - and she looks SOOOOO cute, I stopped by Karen's to bring her some of the yummy food from Cooking Class. She also looks great! She grimaced every so often, but looks like our Karen. She is doing GREAT and I for one am relieved! Sometimes you just need to see someone before you can feel like you can let the worry go.

You were at the cooking class yesterday? You must have snuck in and hid quietly in a corner as usual....I didn't even notice you?!
Anyway....putzing around this morning while hubby is still snoozing. After I got home from Liz's house yesterday we ended up having an impromptu date night and went and saw Alice in Wonderland - pretty good! I found some parts a little borning - but the story they ended up telling....and the way they wound everything together was QUITE interesting!
Let's see....after hubby gets up I'l lfinish up the bedroom (I'm just as bad as a kid with putting her clothes away....) I want to go over to the community center today - there is some sort of "egg show and sale" which I'm not quite sure what it's all about - but am assuming it's those decorative ornate eggs - just wanna go oogle. I'll see if I can't convince Brian to walk there
After that....who knows!

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses. 
Between walking to, in, and home from the community center (we also walked around the park/bike path that goes around the whole community center) Brian and I were out of the house and walking/looking at things for 2 1/2 hours. Granted, it was leisurely the whole time....but it was sooooo nice!

Had a GREAT time yesterday with my cousins. I was the baby in the group pretty weird being referred to as the baby when I'll be 52 next month
Was really shocked and surprised when they all told me how skinny I am. I know I'm thinner but skinny is not a way I'd describe me. My one cousin made this awesome chili type of stuff just for me to have protein and something I could eat.....Just an amazing afternoon that we all decided we will do much more often....

Good morning, everyone!
It was so nice to have Steffi and Molly, Beth and Deanna visit yesterday on their way home from cooking class. Can't wait to dig in to all the deliciousness for lunch today.
I've got a crockpot of corned beef (never got that made last week) cooking for dinner tonight. My friend Mary is planning to stop by later for a visit, too. And if I feel up to it, I may try to finish up a piece of jewelry that I owe a client - we'll see, I'm not going to pu**** Eddie works until 3 today, so should be pretty quiet aroudn the house.
Now if i can just keep my mom out of my hair for a while... she was in rare form this morning. Her "thing" is talking to the cats to vent her feelings - so the conversation with the cats this morning went along the lines of "how tough it is to be in someone else's kitchen.... can't find anything... probably threw all MY stuff away... just not at home." Never mind that she was consulted all along the way, I've shown her where i've put everything, as I've gotten it organized (and it's really not all that tough to open a drawer and figure it out), and everything that I've decided to get rid of is something we've not used in decades or is broken (most of which she's rescued from the "getting rid of" box and taken to her room). She is a hoarder and a Depression-era baby - don't ever throw something away if you MIGHT be able to do SOMETHING with it SOMEDAY. Sigh. My goal is just to not listen or to listen and just let it roll off my back. Haven't reached that goal yet, but at least this morning I didn't get snippy with her or say anything. Still steams me though.
I get to take my first "real" shower today, too! Sponge-baths suck, even though i did manage to get my hair washed yesterday. i think that will make me feel 10000% better!
Ah well.... onward and upward.

And the blueberry cheesecake was freaking fanTAStic! I definitely want that recipe! (and I don't normally like blueberries - it's a textural thing - but they were delicious!!!)

My brother. *sigh* I was there Tues/Wed He seemed ok...but not great. My parents had concerns about him, but as usual, don't know how to go about dealing with it. He's not in a "crisis" at the moment and we differ (my parents and I) on how to go about things like that. As it "turned out" his girlfriend's family was having some sort of dinner thing on either Thurs or Fr (I can't remember which day...) so he opted not to come home with me. Bizarre thing, because part of the problems he rambled off to me on the phone last week dealt with said girlfriend.
I'm not sure I agree with him NOT coming up...he mentioned to me about "not making excuses" any more and I think that's just what this was - an excuse. But, he's stubborn like the rest of my family (and me too, lol) and there was no sense in causing a scene at my parents house. It's not like I could kid nap him to my house anyway. And even if I DID get him to come...how productive would it have been if he was against it?
So all in all - NOTHING happened w/ my brother. I still took the nights off...my own MH days if you will. And am THRILLED I did. Got a lot accomplished here, got some good time in with friends, and had some time to sit down with Brian and work on studying and what not for his upcoming school stuff.

Good afternoon all! I did some light yard work this morning. Mostly just picking up the dead things from the fall. I also got my pansys, tulips and daffodils planted. Then I sat myself in the sun for a while. Now I am in the house and ready for some lunch and a nap. Oh I made some blueberry muffins too because I have been craving them.
