***Misty Monday Roll Call***
Trying to overcome a less than auspicious start to the day:
1. Monday
2. Raining
3. The dog woke us up at 3 a.m. sick. I have had to clean up spots on the carpet and then discovered she pooped on the rug in my office. She NEVER does that.
4. While flushing the poop and cleaning up, the toiled decided to flush REALLY slowly (almost filling with water) so now I have to find the plunger.
5. The chain connection in our other bathroom leaves THAT toilet flushing kind of intermittently. I will not have to use the basement bathroom. Failing that, I will bother the neighbors or run to Sheetz.
So if I ever start a roll call with the sentence, "Hey I think I'll get another dog," somebody kick me!
Wishing all of you an uneventful day!

Morning everyone. Hope everyone had a good weekend. I was off for the entire thing and now back to the harsh reality of work. The only positive is that it's a short week and I am off for Good Friday which just happens to be our anniversary as well.
I work till 6pm today or 4pm if the rain holds off. Erin is coaching middle school softball and their first game is today if it is dry enough. I'm thinking it will be a rain out. Tonight I have a class after work and then my hell day for the week starts. I took a medic shift in the City at midnight until 6am and somehow missed the fact that I am scheduled 6a-6p at my other part-time medic job. I can work it out that someone will stay for me at the other one, so I should be ok.
Hope everyone has a great day...

Well my day changed. I did GO to the gym. I went in. I went to the locker room. I got dressed into my work out clothes. I realized I forgot my damn sneakers, and can't work out in clogs. I left.
Going to bed VERY shortly because I'm exhausted. I did write out easter cards and paperwork and sent off some emails I forgot I needed to do.....

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Good morning, all!
I'm not sure what's going on today. Paul wants to go to the beach for the week, but we may leave tomorrow. (I'm supposed to have lunch with my former recruiter tomorrow.) Should be a beautiful beach week since it's supposed to get warm by the weekend.
We rented Precious yesterday, so we'll be watching that sometime today.
Something happened to me yesterday. I've read about this on the boards before, but it was just weird to go through. I need shorts. I have 1 pair that fits. I thought I would just pick up some inexpensive shorts at KMart. I've been doing all thrift shopping, so this was my first time looking for clothes in a regular store. I started walking to the same place I always look, then realized that wouldn't work since I no longer wear plus sizes. Then I didn't know where to look! Wandered around, then found the "regular size" shorts, then I didn't know what size to buy. I felt like I needed to hide so people wouldn't tell me I was in the wrong dept. It was just a weird few minutes.
We went to breakfast yesterday at a restaurant that had been closed for about a year and just re-opened. We recognized the servers and they remembered Paul. In fact, the one even remembered what Paul always ordered! But they had no clue who I was! They realized they knew me after we told them I had lost a lot of weight, knew my face when I showed them my driver's license. (Fortunately I have to renew my license this summer. lol) Even the woman who owns the restaurant came out of the kitchne to talk to me. She knew the old photo but thought Paul was with a new woman yesterday. It was really fun WOW moment.
Ok, I'm rambling! Have a great day, everyone!!

Good morning, everyone!
Julia - love your restaurant WOW.
Pam - all I can say is "I hate it when that happens" and enjoy your rest
Nicole - Hang in there - you're doing great and your reassertion of self is a wonderful thing. I, too, used to run for the food in the wake of an argument, and am trying to break that habit by consciously recognizing that it isn't going to "get back" at him or "show him" anything and is only going to hurt me. Good for you and HUGS.
I'm at work - got here late because I forgot my work pants (hung them in the kitchen then walked out without them) and had to go back and get them after my workout. The contractor was there doing the last of the cabinet and drywall work (countertops are supposed to come tomorrow - waiting for confirmation!) and had a bunch of questions for me, so it worked out well.
Am "playing hooky" with my class tonight. I was supposed to be on my business trip, so had made alternate arrangements for class coverage. When my boss cancelled the trip, I didn't re-do the arrangements and will be scooting out of here on time tonight. Given how tired I still am, I do NOT feel guilty. Does that make me a bad person? haha.
After work I've got to get to Lowes to get angle bracket supports for the countertop, and a few other things we need before tomorrow. So a busy day, when I still don't have a ton of energy.
I hope you all stay safe and dry today!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I am late in getting on board today. Work and busyness just have me on the late today.
I worked all day, and am heading to my new IOP group this evening. I am nervous, and wishing I did not have to go at all.
I had a stressful thing happen at work, and I am ready to retire or just go out on sick leave the rest of the year.

Seek always to do some good, somewhere. Every man has to seek in his own way to realize his true worth. You must give some time to your fellow man. For remember, you don't live in a world all your own. Your brothers are here too.
