Thursday Moving and Groving

I didn't see an exercise threat yesterday and don't see one this morning, so I am posting it.  Could be that I overlooked it.  What has everyone done/have planned for today?

I had an hour and 15 minutes training session last night...can't believe I could get out of bed this morning.  He pushed me harder last night than ever and it hurt sooo good!  I love being able to do things I couldn't do 4 years ago.  And, I love that I WANT to push myself beyond what they or I think I can do.  And like Beth said the other day...I am doing it because I CAN and not because I feel I have too.  I was going to get on the treadmill when I got home, but  my legs were like rubber, so I figured it was safer NOT to take the chance of my legs giving out and the treadmill sending me flying through the wall....that would probably be a bad thing!

Tonight I have karate.  I have started to tap into some hidden aggression which also feels good. 

So, inspire me with your exercise adventures!  What is going on in the gyms across PA today?

Morning HG,

Sounds like a wonderful session with your trainer last night!  I've been very tired all week (for a lot of reasons), so it was a real push to get out of bed and to the gym this morning, but I did it!  A nice aggressive run on the treadmill, followed by a bunch of medicine ball work, ab work, and martial arts kicks at the barre.

Hey Heather.. glad you are getting your butt whooped and pushing yourself hard.

I have been slacking big time. No excuse, just posting here to be accountable for it.  I've been lazy, I've been sitting on my butt and not getting out there doing anything and I can tell the difference both in how I feel and in how I am eating.  

I am going to go out at lunch time and take a walk NO MATTER WHAT.  I also have my gym clothes and bathing suit packed to go to VA.  There is a fitness room and a pool at the hotel.  There is NO EXCUSE for me to NOT exercise while I am there.  It is only 3 days.  Plus, maybe I can get some family members to take an early morning walk with me.  I bet I can!

When I get back on Monday, I am going to do the pouch test again and get my ass back to the gym.  I will get back to the classes that I love and miss.

Once I get the money from my divorce settlement, I'm going to hire a trainer again.  I am determined to get this last 30 lbs off.  I HAVE TO!

Today I have an 430 appt with a friend who is going to train me. She is the one that teaches the boxing class.
I am worried and scared which lets me know it is exactlty where i need to be

Hey Heather,

Sounds like you had a great workout!

Yesterday I ran 3.25 on the mill. I was a sweaty mess and loved it. Today I'm going to watch my running partner run as I didn't bring my stuff. Does it count to watch? :o)

I registered for my first duathlon yesterday. The Phila. Womens Duathlon July 11th (run 2 miles, bike 17, run 3.1) http://www.cgiracing.com/2009Events/PhiladelphiaWomensTri.as px

so I'll be training for that. Very exciting.

Good Morning Heather!
I did my hour on the elliptical this morning and will be walking on my lunch and breaks to get my 10,000 steps in for the day.

Did my hour on the treadmill this morning. Followed that with some crunches, during which I almost crunched the cat---didn't know he had walked up and was standing where my head had been.

HA!  Thurs... Movinand  Groovin... that's the name of  my after-school fitness club that Istarted (last year) for kids to "have fun while exercising"   .... it's my contribution to childhood obesity, i guess.....

we did tae bo today....lol ... it was  cute... i was sweaty....

HI HG and all!   Sounds like the personal trainer is going well!    Great investment that I need to make soon as well :)

It is amazing to push ourselves where we never even imagined we could go before.  You are a great source of exercise inspiration!
