So Many Congratulations Karen!!!!!!
Not only is your story and personal journey unique and amazing, but the fact that Steffi would step aside and give you the whole day... well I'm overwhelmed. But seriously, it's another example of your tremendous growth and accomplishment these last 12 months. Wonderful work in giving, sharing and receiving with your family, friends and the WLS community. So glad you could share in your celebration last night at our meeting. It's so important for so many that will follow us. You never know how inspirational your own story can be when you're living it, but even now as well as the years to come, individuals will tell you and thank you for sharing your story and how it gave them that something to focus and carry on in their own journey. Support offers rewards that just keep on giving.

Thank you, Dennis!  And it certainly didn't pass my notice that Steffi offered an entire DAY to me!  (Of course, it was hers to give in the first place...)

Seriously, though, telling that story last night and on here today was so scary and also so liberating.  Getting to the point in my life where I've realized some of the WHYs behind my addictions and behaviors is likewise both scary and liberating... and is the foundation I need to carry on with this journey and keep successing.  Your support has been a big part in me feeling safe enough to share that with this wonderful group of people - and I do truly hope that my journey can help someone else.

Anyway - happy surgiversary Karen Goeller!!!  An inspiration and friend for sooooo many, myself DEFINATELY included!
