Spanks
I bought a spanx, was a total waste of money. It was as thick as a pair of panty hose and ripped before getting it on. Totally useless. I love my compression garment I got from Lipo Express. Same price as spanx and is durable, won't rip, and it can be made smaller as you lose weight. The seams are on the outside. If it gets too big, just take it in.
I love, love, love my Spanx! And my Flexees!!! (the other brand I really like.) I've tried the Kohls ones and didn't like them - not enough compression and they felt nowhere near as "soft" as either Spanx or Flexees.
I've found good prices from spanx.com and you do get coupons and special sales on them if you sign up for their email list. You can also find them on sale at Penneys and Macy's occasionally. Chicos stocks their own branded Spanx and does put them on sale on occasion, so it's worth looking.
For a while, i was reliably finding Flexees tanks at Costco, and I think they have them again - just not in my size (poo - one of the down-sides of being down to a small in them). They have M - XXL. The flexees tank I love is "Fat Free Dressing" - it's a cami with compression from below the boobs downward and is a little extra long so it comes down to the bottom of my hips. Perfect for tucking into a pair of jeans, and it keeps everything from jiggling.
I do NOT, btw, like the Spanx pantyhose. They're very nice looking, but I want a garment that will last longer than hose for that price. Instead, I get the ones that come to mid-thigh and go up to just under the bra, which last for a LONG time. I also have (in Flexees) the one that's kinda like a tight slip or really long cami (goes to mid-thigh as a slip).
Eric - KUDOs to you, man. And stop running in the dark. you have NOTHING to be ashamed of - although I perfectly understand what you mean by it bringing back all the old feelings. Try a good runner's "compression shirt" - Champion, Nike, and UA all make them. It might just do the trick for less $$ than the spanx one.

I get the HEAVY duty stuff at Walmart for under $20 with the high sides that don't roll down. You can find Dr. Rey stuff at either JC Penney or Sears, check online, I can't remember which it is, but his get good reviews. Also, plenty of stuff on Ebay, even Spanx and post lipo suits with comp sleeves for brachio surg. You can also just get sleeves. Search Dr. Rey, Compression, post lipo, recovery, or the maker's names and they come up and they are alot cheaper. Would be best to know what size you need to order first though.
