OT - Interview (and a rant about my day, lol)

Wow!! Holy Bat Sh** Crazy day! I agree the professionalism of the HR person left alot to be desired. That was way out of line. Glad the other interview went well. I am still looking for work. I have had two interviews now and I know that one of those jobs I didn't get. Maybe you should put some meat sticks or soy nuts or something in your glove box. I did have protein bars in my glove box through the winter but with the warm weather a couple of weeks ago that plan had to be changed the bars got extremely "melty". I hate the bank problems too. Last month we were overdrawn by about alot. Thus me trying to find work. Hoping for a much brighter tomorrow for you.

Nursing is actually in one of their "lower" cycles now...there's lots of people who can't find work, new grads included.  A few years ago it was a totally different story.  It seems these "cycles" come and go - just keep looking.  Your an LPN, correct?  I'm not sure what types of places you are applying - but you may want to look specifically into rehab/nursing long term facilities.   Hospitals are becoming increasingly "anti LPN" if you will - which I don't necessarily agree with - but I also understand why....I just think there are better ways than to not hire them.

Thanks though :)  Banking errors just stink...and it was just that...an error...something I could have very easily avoided...

Sounds like the interview was great with the right person so that is what counts right. I am sure you impressed him.

I love changes with the hair and least you had a good honest hairdresser rather then her do something and damage your hair.

Well, I'm just catching up - sorry! BUT.... i am SO glad for your interview and unofficial job offer!!!  I just knew that you would impress them.  How could you NOT??

As to the HR person, I have known HR people who will do that to try and rattle an interviewee and to see if they can be baited into bad-mouthing their current or previous employer.  It's a tactic I don't approve of, but I know I've always gotten the heebie-jeebies when an interviewee does bad-mouth an employer, so I understand why they do it.  OR, she may just have been a jerk.

As to the rest of your day, suffice it to say.... YUCK!!!   Glad it's over!  Post pics of your hair, please?

I agree with you - I don't AGREE with the tactic - but I'm almost willing to bet it was a way to try to "trick" me into saying bad things and seeming like one of "those" employees.

And at least that day is over :)

Oh - and I don't have pics of my hair...although it's nothing to "exciting" if you will.  I LOVE it, don't get me wrong...it's just something that I've had "before"  It's a similar cut to how I had it last summer at Norm and Mary's wedding....I'll try to get a pic within the next day or so
