Today is a better day
Ok so I just had to say that today is a better day. Mike, from Sacred Heart ER, MUST have followed up once I left the office as he promised me.
Because as of 9:00am today I had an official job offer from them. The HR witch called me to offer me the job. Ok, she's not REALLY a witch - but I'm holding a grudge and calling her that to make me feel better, lol
That, in turn, made my day into a "do nothing" day to doing a decent amount of stuff day. I had about 4 phone calls to make in order to set up a bunch of different appointments. Including a drug screen that needed to be done within the next two business days (which, for me, meant TODAY because then I work)
I have a lot of stuff to do - they require more than LVH ever did, which is surprising. I have an appointment set up for my first TB test (standard) I have an appointment set up for my second tb shot a week later (also standard) I have an appointment set up with HR to review documents etc. I have an appointment set up with their physical therapy appointment for a 30 minute assessment to make sure I have the physical ability to perform my job (new thing to me, but whatever) I also have an appointment set up with employee health to get my physical done and blood work for titers done etc. I also had to call a former manager and get a professional referene written (oddly enough, employment is CONTINGENT on being able to get two of these letters....interesting)
But, I'm thrilled. I've been in close contact with Mike and I'm finding out he's a laugh riot which is awesome :)
Thanks for all the supportive words yesterday and dealing with my vent. Just be glad that you weren't in the same room with me...according to Brian...I was less than amicable in person. I can't possibly imagine that being truthful, though :)

Instead of complaining that the rosebush has thorns, be happy that the thorn bush has roses.

Yea, it's a good stress definately! I don't mind the appointments. I am also on the schedule for "department orientation" which means staff gets me there on shift as "extra" - bonus for them while I wander around trying to find where we keep everything and try to fit in patient care, lol. They already have me on for four nights in May, plus my two days of hospital orientation, which are all paid days, yay
