Terrific Tuesday Roll Call

It's pretty obvious that your friends love you and want you around for a long time - and hopefully they won't pressure you along the way to try and 'break your diet' - whether or not we tell is a very personal decision and I'm sure it's different for men than it is for women. Me? I told everybody - and I was amazed at the support, love and understanding I got from everyone - guess they'd rather see me going thru something like the surgery (after I explained everything and how safe it is now) than kill myself with food and alcohol. And while some friends miss the old 'party girl Kathy' at times, they love the new Kathy who can keep up with them - wants to go places and do things - and is much healthier than before.

I think the one thing this surgery has taught me more than anything is 'everything in moderation' - and had I lived my life like that before I never would have gotten as huge as I was. But that's in the past - and it will be for you as well.

Best of luck to you - you're going to do great!

Hey Babe - Thanks for the shout out - I am sure SOME will torture you for building my ego up a little more! :)  But seriously - I am proud of you for starting the process.  And you ARE doing this for your 40th birthday!  There are no lies in any of that!  And Duh....obviously - wives should not be around Skinny Swede - well - except for me of course!  Congrats!  I am so proud of you! :)

Good morning, all!!!

Karen---If you're checking in today, I wanted to pass along condolences to you and Eddie from Paul and I.  I didn't get back on yesterday's roll call till this morning, so I just got the news.  It's a blessing when someone has been very sick, but that doesn't make it easier to say good-bye.  Know we're thinking of you guys and let us know if we can help!

Still at the beach today.  The weather has been beautiful, but today it's cloudy and humid.  The sun is trying to peek out, it seems.  I'm going to pack up a lunch for us, and we'll head out to the beach for the afternoon.  My legs are sore from the long walks I've taken on the beach this week.  I had been used to walking on the sand, but I guess I was away from it for a few weeks and need to get used to it again.

Have a great day, all!!!

Hi, I'm visiting here, posted a separate question about plastic surgery. So while I'm poking my head in here, I thought I'd also post on your roll call if that's okay.

We had incredible rains here yesterday and part of the night - even lost power for three hours in the evening which put a real dent in doing anything except to go to bed early. I'm glad that it didn't interfer with my walking earlier in the day.

Good AFTERNOON Pa!

Yup - I'm back for the most part :) Missed you guys, but definately needed the "break" to reset my mind about everything....tried to get onto roll call this am, but ended up getting busy at work...

So, anyway - left Sacred Heart and drove to the other side of Allentown (only a few miles) and went to Cedar Crest to pick up some scripts that I had neglected to last week.

Then I made an impromptu visit with a friend who was having some car troubles and needed a ride from one location (after dropping off said car) to another.

On the way home stopped for fuel for the car, the bank, then home, but that wasn't till almost 10am.  Went to bed at 10:30 expecting to sleep till about 1...I don't know if I turned the alarm off, slept through it, or just never turned it on...but I didn't get up till 3.  Oh well - I'm sure I'll still be able to sleep tonight!

Waiting to hear from my cousins....we've been going back and forth about dropping off the stuff for them.

Brian and I will probably go out to dinner and then just hang around.  We got some nasty rain - but it made the humidity approximately 1 zillion times worse...so I'm hoping for more rain and SOON to kill that.  I don't like it one bit!  Heat, fine.  Humidity, NO THANK YOU

That's about it from here!  I'll be catching up with some more posts as the next day or so rolls on, I'm sure!

Afternoon everyone!

Another exciting day at work for me.  Working 3pm till 1am.  The morning started off great but then just became hectic with running around and assorted b-s.  After the tonight, I am off Wednesday, Thursday and Friday during the day.  Just working a Paramedic shift Friday night for 5 hours at the ballgame.  Hoping for some nice weather this week!

Not much else is up.  Hope you all have a good rest of the day!
