** FABULOUS FLYERS FRIDAY ROLL CALL **

Yes Swede - I started it - I get to name it! HA HA!

So - I am up far too late again.  Why is it that heart to heart conversations only happen AFTER 11 PM?  Crazy!  Great conversation though - even more clarity I hope!

I had a GREAT day on the boat with my students.  We danced, laughed, we sweated....it was great! They looked beautiful and carried themselves with maturity. I was very proud of them.  Then I was at Molly's graduation from City Year - she was soooo proud of herself and wants to do it again next year.  I hope she thinks the same way when we get the phone call.  I did manage to have my cell phone break on me today.  Completely just stopped working.  No rhyme or reason.  I took it to the Verizon store, they tried to see what I did to it, they found nothing, so now I am without a phone until tomorrow - so if anyone texted me today - I didn't get it!  VERY SAD!  Totally frustrated!

Anyway - I am heading off to get some sleep.  I will head off to my sauna of a classroom to do probably not much of anything as many of my students will be off on a diffferent trip with the "positive role models" of the school.  I will hope fully finish up my grading while giving the kids some independant work to do.  After school, a nap is proably in order seeing as I am still awake here.....then FLYERS baby!  Looking forwad to seeing our black and orange continue their charge of the net.

I hope you all have a GREAT Friday.

Morning Steffi and the rest of the PA gang...

Last day off today, kinda.  Working a medic shift at the Ironpigs game tonight, otherwise I'm off.  Working this weekend, dayshift with on-call over night Friday after midnight till Saturday morning when I go to work.

Have a great day everyone....

Wow...what a way to "end" your days off.  Iron pigs followed by on call followed by day shift? I'll try to keep my patients alive at least until sunrise so you can sleep and deal with the bodies in the daylight hours.  The rest of Lehigh county?  Can't promise for them, though.....

Ok, so like I have called myself before...I can be a front runner like the best of them.  Not a huge fan of sports...I'll watch them if they are on at somebody's house...but other than that...not so much.  However, I was getting very excited about the game as most of my patients have had it on when I've been at work, or at least the news stories after the fact.  Glad you guys are having such a good streak!

So...Friday....I get to go straight home, which is always a good thing!  I never did fold the last load of laundry yesterday...it's just socks and what not, so they dont' actually need to be folded do they?  So, I'll SAY I'm gonna do that.  The probability of it actually getting done?  Slim to freaking none, lol

Packing food for work tonight and trying to get a decent amount of sleep in today.  Tonight promises to be a rough frigging night.  A) we're superstitous and Thursday was good which means Friday will be terrible.  B)  I'm out in triage.  Nuff said.  C)  We are so short staffed tonight it's not even funny.  With only one call out we are already down by 6 nurses starting at 11pm.  Now, although me in triage generally brings waves of people to the ER I can deal with them in the waiting room - the nurses left in the back - I know they are gonna be running around until they can't walk any further.....so I'll gladly count my blessings and deal with the ten million people yelling at me in the waiting room asking me why their sore throat for 3 weeks was not seen yet while the man with chest pain was brought right back.  Can't fix stupid!

Enjoy all!

Good Morning Steffi, and the rest of you hot, sweaty, PAers,
I had an awesome date with my little man, Lincoln.  Ten months old, and every bit as cute as his sister.  Izzy and her Mommy went to Sesame Place with friends.  After I dropped my man off to his Mom, I went to WalMart for fixings for tonight's dinner.  I am spending today cooking for everyone.  My plan is to cook first thing in the morning, so I can take advantage of the apartment not being hot.  My A/C is in the living room, and the kitchen is down the hall, and no A/C.  Then, I will just reheat with the microwave right before everyone gets here.

Sometime after my cooking spree, I must hit the gym for a swim and shower.  My bathtub faucet is broken, so I shower at the gym.  In this weather, my hair needs two showers though.  It gets soaked every time I walk Utley, even after dark.  DAMN humidity.

I also must wrap birthday presents for tomorrow's birthday picnic.  It is a 50% chance of rain tomorrow, so it shall be interesting.  My sister offered to have everyone move it to her house.  We shall see.

Oh, speaking of my sister, she is scheduled for lap band surgery at Jeanes on the 16th.  Her surgeon is Dr. Dempsey.  It was originally set for the 9th, but had to be moved back due to her pulmonology appointment being messed up.  She must see a pulmonoligist due to her clotting history.  Say prayers please.

Hugs,
Trish

Certainly keeping your sister and your family for her surgery in my thoughts and prayers.  With your family history - I can see how terrifying this might be.

Sounds like your date was an absolute dream. . .  hoping all goes well for your sister, hey, not sure where she lives, but you might want to send her to the Barix support group meetings, as we have a terrific lapband leader and it is open to anyone wanting support and there are two meetings per month, one is the 3rd Wednesday at 7 p.m. and the other is the First Saturday of every month, with the new time of 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Take care Trish

Good Morning All. I guess there is a hockey game on tonight or something. we won't be watching it - I don't really watch sports. LIke Pam I'll watch it if it's on but I can always find something better on if it's my choice! lol

I am not feeling up to par again today - just run down and drained. I guess it's still the low iron levels kicking my butt. I have a Dr appt for a med check on tuesday, I think I'll ask to have labs pulled to re-check the iron and my B12.

We shall just be relaxing today, like Pam I have a load of laundry that has been lingering in the dryer far too long so I'll try to fold that today.

Have a great day all!

ETA  - unfortunately my Grandmother passed away last night (see my other post for details) so I will be packing and prepping today so Mia and I can head up there early tomorrow morning.
