Oh joy!  The humidity is back along WITH the raging heat that never left.  Sigh!  Oh well...it's not as bad for me as it woulda been 3 years ago....at least for that!

Let's see....once I'm done here I need to attempt to tame my locks and look at least half human...leaving for the gym hopefully by 7:15...want to be there by 7:30...we'll see.

On the way home need to stop at the bank, and then the grocery store

Home plans are to put away mountains of laundry that I've been ignoring, cook up some chicken breasts and steaks I took out of the freezer last night, and then be back in bed around 1ish for a nap - back to work tonight!  Oh, speaking of which, I guess I should pack food for work tonight too, lol

That's about it, nothing earth shatteringly exciting!

Stay cool, and hydrate hydrate hydrate!

Pam, did I mention that I love your pic?  You look awesome, and are such an example to me for discipline and exercise.  Thanks for being a faithful poster, long with the rest of the gang.

Hugs,
Trish

Morning friends!

Back at work today for another 10 hours.  I really don't mind the heat all that much, except that when it's really warm out like this, it tends to "complicate" things in my line of work.  Those complications led to a pretty cool wow moment for me yesterday.  I'll spare the details but while I was out on a case, I needed to wear a Tyvek suit (those white plastic jumpsuit things).  Prior to WLS, the biggest one we had, really didn't fit (there isn't a wide array of sizes), so yesterday when I got one out to use, I picked one that looked pretty big (the sizes are tough to find on them).  My hopes was at least to get it up around my waist to keep my boots and pants protected.  Much to my surprise, I put the suit completely on and it was big.  Not a little big, ridiculously big.  It was a very good feeling.  Later I took the suit part way off and tied the arms around my waist to keep it up, however being ridiculously big, it fell down around my ankles when I walked.  This clearly got quite a chuckle from everyone else there, but I probably had huge, goofy grin on my face.  You never know when your next WOW moment is waiting around the corner for you.

So anyway, after work tonight, I am working a medic shift at the Ironpigs game.  Not looking forward to that with the heat.  I've heard they put extra staff on for the games this week due to the weather, so hopefully we won't be quite as busy.

That's about it for me.  Stay cool and stay hydrated.

Congratulations on your Wow.  That is neat when clothes are way too big.

Try to stay cool, and stay hydrated.

Congrats on the WOW!  Must have been funny, though... and I must say that Tyvek implies an interesting and possibly gory story...

Why is it that you spared THESE people the details - but for me....the sweet and very feminine good girlie girl....I got all the gore and guts and basically...the yukk?!?!?  Geez....nice to know that you think I can take it! :)  HA HA!

It is a GREAT wow and it would be nice to see you in something that is NOT too big! :)

Good morning all - I am at work but dragging butt this morning! After our long family weekend and not getting much rest last night we headed out to Lancaster to the Ringo concert, and let me just say this about that...

THE RINGO CONCERT WAS FREAKING FANTASTIC!!!!

OK - that's out of my system for now - OMG his all-STARR band was amazing - Edgar Winter! Rick Derringer! Gary Wright! and more!! And they all did at least 2 of their #1 hits, along with most of the amazing Ringo hits he's done over the years, and threw in a few Beatles tunes to boot - we stood and danced and rocked and clapped - the music was amazing!!

Got home around 11:15 and was starving so grabbed a protein bar and some milk, then crashed. Slept in a bit this morning but still managed to get to work on time. Tonight - NOTHING other than putting laundry away and some time on my bike. Hubby has a board meeting at the clubhouse (much to his chagrin) but he's going. He won't be there long, tho.

So that's it for me today - just trying to stay awake at my desk!! Hope everyone has a great day - stay cool and hydrated!!

Kathy,
I am so jealous.  I have not been to a live concert like that in forever.  It sounds like you really had a good time.  Stay cool.

I forgot the Ringo concert was last night!  My brother and his wife went to it, too, and I'm guessing he's as excited today as you are!  Glad it was a good show!!!

Good morning, all!!!

Woke up to I don't know how many birthday wishes on facebook and even my own special post on OH!!!  (Thanks, Steffi!  Will go back over to that thread in a minute.)

I have a phone interview this morning.  I had talked to this same woman about this same job a month ago, but they didn't have the contract for the project at that time, so I got sketchy info, like the first month was to be part time hours and the contract was only for 6 months.  It's now in place, and one of my friends has been hired for the job.  I expressed interest again since the details are worked out (it's an 18 month contract).  I think they're currently fully staffed but still want to talk to me in case they hire more people.  I'm hoping the timing works out that I can start a few weeks after my surgery.

After that, we may venture out on the beach if it's not to brutally hot out there.  Hopefully there's a sea breeze!  Otherwise, this princess is staying put in the condo and enjoying the AC!!  (When it's stinkin' hot and no breeze at the beach, the flies are nasty.  And it hurts when they bite!!!)

Yesterday I picked up the second book in the series I've started reading.  I've only read about 5 pages of it so far, but I'm surprised where and how it started and am really excited to read more of it.  Guess I'll have my nose stuck in a book most of today!!!

Have a great day, all!!!  And stay hydrated!!!
