Hi Kim!

Welcome to the losers' bench and to the RI forum!

Are you aware of the support group just for bandsters?

It's at Roger Williams Medical Center, 825 Chalkstone Ave., Providence.

3rd Tuesday each month (next meeting is Tuesday, December 15th)

7-9 pm

Kay Auditorium, conference room A

Enter the Main entrance and follow the bright signs!

There's no formal introduction or presentation. It's just bandsters getting together for lots of feedback, ideas and support from really wonderful people!

If you have any questions and/or want to be put on the e-mail reminder list, please send me an email to the address below.

I hope you can make it!

Again...congrats and welcome!

Hi Linda!

First of all...congrats on losing 98 pounds in six months! Wow Weee!!!

I found that as I got closer to my goal, the weight loss really slowed down. I remember the time I was frantic to lose was that 100 pound mark, getting into the magical ONEderland and that last 10 pounds to goal.

It was all like being a kid at Christmas and not being able to sleep the night before, waiting for day-break so I could open those presents....but the night just lasted for-e-verrrr!

You're doing great and you look absolutely amazing! Like Cynthia said, pay attention to the other good things going on with your body. Give it a little break. Time to settle. The weight will come off (just not in the time YOU want it to, unfortunately). Sounds like you're doing what you need to be doing. Patience is a virtue...it's sucks...but it's a necessary evil on this journey.

See you at the meeting next week!

Wow Cyn!

Almost a year already? Time flies!

Congrats on losing over 100 pounds! And so glad to hear you've had no complications!

Any chance you can come to the 'Living Life Group' at Roger Williams next Wednesday, December 16th? It's a post-op group for all WLS and runs 7-9 pm. We meet in the Greene Lounge.

I'd love to see you there!

Happy up-coming Surgiversary!

Hi Bri!

I hope Michele is feeling well enough to go home today.

How are YOU doing? You've been there/done that yourself but it's a totally different story when it's your honey having the surgery (as Chris well knows).

I hope you and Michele, Chris & Lisa are able to make the meeting next week so the four of you can have a chance to talk.

My thoughts are with you on this snowy day! Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help!

Thanks Chris!  She is doing pretty well.  Decided to stay an extra night in the hospital as she was having some pain, but will be released on Wednesday morning.  Are you adn Lisa coming to the Living Life group next week?  Michele wants to go, so as long as she is up to it, we will be there!

Looking back at my weightloss journey I had a bit of a stall at the 6 month mark and did not loose for a few weeks , then lost 5 pounds overnight,  Hang in there, check your measurements too.  I also had a stall where I did not loose anything for about 5 weeks recently but dropped a hwhole pant size during that time frame.  Then I cam out of it and have lost 15 pounds and I am 10 mos out so just keep following the plan and the weight should follow!
