hey jon, congrats on your success! The extra skin can be pretty frustrating. I don't know what you wear when you exercise, but you might want to wear something that is snug to keep skin from moving around. Or maybe talk to Dr. Giovanni at your next appointment. She may have some ideas from previous patients. But remember, even though you have that skin, underneath is a healthy body. The muscles and organs there are getting fit and healthy. And when the time is right, maybe plastic surgery will be an option you can look forward to. Try to keep the benefits of your healthy lifestyle in the forfront of your mind. Don't lose your focus. You have done an awesome job and have achieved an amazing weightloss and gained what we all want... health! Good luck! I hope you get the answers you need, Jon! Eldy

wow Linda! Thats awesome!! Congratulations my dear friend! I am sooo proud of you and your success! You really are an inspiration to us all. You are so right, though. You may have lost the weight, but what you gain is soooo amazing and wonderous! I feel the same way. Congrats again and go out and celebrate! Do something fun that was difficult to do a year ago! Love ya! Eldy
Topic: I really need help!!!
Hi again...
I really need help and support right about now.
I so far have been doing pretty well post surgery. I'm down over 90 lbs since surgery, over 130 pre an post.
The problem is...I started doing P90X. I have heard amazing things about it. No problems there so far...but today I started the Plyometrics portion. I thought I was going to die. Not from the moves themselves...but from all my damned skin and everything flopping around. It was so painful at some points I felt as though my stomach apron was about to tear off. It was excruciating.
Does ANYONE have any ideas what I can do to minimize this? I looked online at compression garments and they are asking for in the range of $150 to $200 on the sites I found.
I'm desperate to not only keep going with my progess loss, but to also get myself in shape. To firm up and build strength and conditioning. Tonight however I'm so frustrated with this that my motivation has taken a HUGE hit.
I'd go to the meeting tonight at RWMC but I still have a bit of a bug...I feel fine, but my GP says to avoid people for a bit. I will be at next week's men's meeting.
Any help? Please?
Jon

Topic: my first anniversary
hi all...
i just wanted to write and share the joy of my first anniversary with all of you.
i cant believe the time has passed, and i was sitting here a yr ago thinking, i am about to change my life for good...
it has been the best thing i could've done for myself.
there were some hurdles in the beginning, but if that's all i had to do to obtain what i have now... i tell everyone..i would do the surgery again in a heartbeat!
i have lost a total of 130 pounds to date... i went from a size 24 to a 4 my starting weight was 272 pounds which now i am the proud owner of a 140 pound body....
but most of all... it not about what i have lost, ironically it's what i have gained!!!!!!!!!!
a new life!!!!!!!! for me!!!!!!!
i thank all of you who have encouraged me and supported me along the way...without that it makes the journey harder....
for all those who have reached their goal congrats to you!!!!
and for those who are working on it... you will get there...i know it!
take good care, and be well!!!

It was one heck of a good workout. There is no way I could have finished all 90 minutes before the surgery. Hopefully this will help me get to where I want to be.

I have not used it but I want to buy it!! I am in Warwick also!! I have only heard awesome things about it!!
