Topic: RE: Frustrated!
I have Dr. Roye and he's pretty conservative with fills so far. I had 4 cc's put in the first time in December and I just went to him Friday and he put in .5 cc's. He gave me the option of getting to restriction quick or sliding into it. I choose the latter. I don't want to take a chance of having too much and getting sick. I eat protein mostly and that keeps me full for the 4 - 5 hours but if I eat carbs I'm hungry in 1 - 2 hours. Play around with what your eating and see if that helps. I'm going back for another fill on 4-9 and I'm going to see how I feel with that.
Topic: Frustrated!
Does anyone know how conservative Dr. Giovanni is about fills! Could I ask her to give me a little more than she did last time? She only gave me 1cc and it definitely did nothing. I think I need more to get more restriction. I can eat a little at a time, but I am hungry an hour later! I am also startin to exercise at least twice a week outside the house and once a week inside the house.
I have not lost anything in over a month, getting discouraged because I am really trying to make the band work for me.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated???
Thanks
Jenn

Topic: I FINALLY DID IT!!!!
hi everyone...
i am here to say "I FINALLY DID IT!!!"
it certainly has been a trying 9 months...but i am happy to report i have officially met my goal. i have lost 120lbs...(hello...that's a person in itself)
a huge THANK YOU goes out to all who have been right by my side along this journey...without the help and support from family and friends and my extended family (which is all of you) i wouldn't be sitting here writing this post.
Through the good , the bad and the ugly... i /we have SURVIVED!!!
This year has been the most exciting for me. I have conquered so many fears that my weight allowed me to have. I am a new person with a new beginning! I look at it as a "new lease on life"
Not many people get this opportunity so i am beyond grateful!
I hope one day, i can give back what everyone has given to me along the way!
Please know, this is not a final post... i am forever a bariatric patient and friend!
I will still be here to encourage those that are just starting out, or for those who may be in the middle of their journey, and for those who may have already reached their goals.
this site has certainly proved it's presence, and i am forever grateful to all of you!!!!!!
take good care and be well!

Topic: RE: hi everyone!!!!! back home
Hi, glad everything went well. As far as the diarrhea goes I had a problem with it too for about a week after surgery. I actually ended up back in the ER for IV fluids because I just couldn't take in as much fluid as I was putting out. Unfortunately the diarrhea can also be caused by the antibiotics they give you during surgery so if it continues you should get check. especially if you are feeling light headed...that's a sign of dehydration. Good luck
