Take a 15 min break from work twice a day and just walk around the building.

24 hr gym?

I've found of late that I've been able to get my runs in after I get the kids in bed at 8pm.  Which sucks cause sometimes I don't get home until 11 or so, but still.

Well, I suck at regular exercise and I do not work 14 hour days.  I work kind of weird hours but I also work from home so even though I am busy that's not a very good excuse.

This may not be as good as actually working out, but can you at least squeeze more physical activity into your day?  Like, if you have to run errands on your lunch hour, do the thing where you park far away from the store and have to walk a little further?  And take the stairs instead of the elevator at work.  Stuff like that.

I was forced to get up early ( 3-4 AM) to do DVDs before work to get my workout in.

Thanks for the ideas...I'll give them all a try and see what works best except the 24 hour gym...we don't have one near me.  My little town only has a Curves that closes at 7 and the gym at work also closes at 7.

I work 3 12 hour shifts, so while at work, I try to exercise too. I walk the steps that are off my department (for no reason)- just up and back., a couple times a day. I also go to the gym that is in the hospital on my lunch break- only for 15 min, the eat the rest of the time. While I know this may not work post op.

At a previous job I walked the building on my breaks and lunch. Just little chances at exercise add up.

I'm kind of in the same position.  Only so much time and TOO many activities, etc.  Try doing shorter (15-20 minutes) workouts but at a higher intensity.  Maybe not every day, but 3X a week.
