I have my Surg on Wednesday and I am freaking out!  Bundle of nerves, starving from the 2 week liquid diet and now I have to rinse my mouth 2x day with special rinse, since the surg scopes me after surg to ck for leaks.....and it makes things taste funny !!  Just what I need..... I have done so good for the last 7 months and lost about 26 lbs and now 2 days before .... I want a pizza!  Am I crazy or what?  REALLY having a "Pitty Party".......  Help...

Two thoughts

1. Dont eat the pizza. Too late to cheat now

2. When they put the mask over your face , breathe in deep. Its all downhill from there

You're almost there!  Yay!  I know it's nerve-wracking (I'm doing pre-op diet, surgery date is the 13th), but you've come so far!  Hang in there, not much longer.  Pretty soon, surgery will be a thing of the past, and you'll be on the road to recovery.

So far, my hunger hasn't been too bad, but the sight and smells of food are very tantalizing.  What's keeping me going is that like you, I've been working at this awhile (since Feb.), and on my own, through making better choices and educating myself, I've lost over 25 lbs.  At this point, it's a matter of pride that I make it to surgery without falling off the wagon.  (I DID dream about donuts last night, though!!!

Btw, I talk big, but I'm not to the freaking-out stage yet, LOL!

Hang in there - I'm cheering you on.

You can do this!  Be strong.  Just a few more days and a new life journey begins.  I'm only 1 month out and already absolutly amazed at the difference in me.  Hang tough!!  Amelia

Hang in there, after surgery you will not feel hunger at all for a while.  Your eyes and nose will tempt you only.  It will be difficult for a couple months, but you will be able to eat again the foods you love in moderation.  It's worth it!

You will do just fine. I had surgery last Wednesday and it went fine. I was home the next afternoon and walking and sipping right away in the hospital. Pain for me was very minimal, in fact I didn't need anything stronger than tylenol for pain. Just take it one step at a time and it will be over before you know it. I don't even remember going into the operating room and didn't even tell my hubby goodbye. The anesthesiologist came into the preop room and gave me a shot to relax me and I was out like a light. The next thing I knew I was waking up in the recovery room! Hang in there!

You can do it!!!  You have done great so far.  Everything tastes funny after surgery also. You get to experience it a little beforehand.

Good luck with your surgery and we are all busy making room for you on the losers bench!!!!

You can do it.....2 more days is nothing. You will be fine just keep your eye on the prize, and it will be so worth it. Keep your chin up.....losing pounds is way better than a slice of pizza lol
