Didn't realize Labor Day would be somewhat difficult

I had surgery 7 weeks ago & my birthday was on Labor Day.  OMG it was so difficult.  Even though we didn't go anywhere special like a bbq, I was very sad.  My birthday's are always surrounded by food... special breakfast, special snacks & great BIG dinner and yummy desert... 

I didn't realize how difficult it would be.  I'm doing GREAT with all my foods and I don't normally feel deprived, just yesterday.  I guess I was mourning my old way of living which is not a good thing.

Today is a new day!   We survived the weekend.
