Your meals throughout the day
That sounds great, I'll have to try that one day !! Do you taste the coconut from the oil ?? (i'm not too big a fan of coconut lol) Could I sub something else ?

You can't taste the oil at all. Coconut oil has a lot of health benefits so that's why I use it. You can buy it unrefined (mild coconut flavor) or refined (no flavor). Just don't buy the cheap junk at Wal-Mart! If you don't want to use coconut oil, sub in butter. Tastes great that way too. Not sure about the spreads since I don't use them.
I'm 8 months out. I was cleared for "maintenance" diet back in Dec. by the doctor but regardless of what they say I can eat I can still eat very little.
B Celebrate ENS shake
L chicken patty, or 2 chicken wings, or ham and cheese roll ups
D whatever protein the family is eating, for example, 1 pork chop, 1 chicken thigh, 1 3 oz steak, if it's a pasta night I have 1/2 cup of meat sauce with about 10 whole wheat noodles with protein added (barillo plus) - 2 nights a week I have a carb added whether it's the ten noodles or 1/2 cup of taters.
S- 100 cal popcorn or slice of whole wheat toast with low sugar grape jelly (limited to fit in with my 2 night a week carb rule),or 1 sf sugar wafer or 2 hershey kisses.
a second protein shake before bed on the nights I haven't hit my protein goal for the day - most nights.
Mind you please I am an extremely picky eater and have never eaten veggies or fruit (do not follow my lead on this) To be honest if I liked veggies they would fit in maybe with dinner it's the only time I'd have room for them and then would probably forgo the snack.
I am almost three months out and eat 600-800 calories since I started exercising 7 weeks ago. I have stalled three times for a week or more (discouraging when you eat so little and are exercising). I was told last night by leader (head nurse of our program) that I am stalling because my body is going into starvation mode, to eat more! So I am going to add more protein, but I already get 70-80 in a day. My usual day is:
Protein shake made with water. 118 calories
Lunch - 2oz Dilisso deli oven roasted turkey and 1oz Dilusso baby Swiss cheese OR 1/2 cup cottage cheese with shredded fresh Parmesan cheese baked, or leftover chicken, fish
Dinner- 4 oz salmon, mahi mahi, tilapia, trout.....I love fish . At 8 weeks I was allowed to add 1/2 cup veggies....loving my green beens, campari tomatoes, broccoli ![]()
I will snack on 1-2 oz of baby Swiss cheese at night microwaved on parchment paper....crispy and delish!
