My husband is horrible!
Like the others have replied, you are having surgery - he isn't.
Stay focused on your surgery and your health. You're going to have to deal with these types of situations post-op too. Stay strong - You've got this!

It gets easier, trust me. Granted, I'm only 3 weeks post op...but when my husband made my FAVORITE stuffed crust Digiorno pizza the second day home from the hospital, it was tough for me. But now, I'm to the point where I'm cooking for him again, and it's not even bothering me. The smells are incredible, but I have no desire to eat, or even taste the food I'm making him.
It's SO worth it!!! Good luck to you! :)
Huh. So if I understand this, you offered to make him dinner, he said no and proceeded to make his own dinner? I look at it this way: He refused your offer to make him dinner likely thinking, "OMG, I can't have the poor woman making ME food when she can't even have any! I will go to the store and buy something and make it myself so my dear wife doesn't have to prepare food that she isn't able to eat."
The end.

Hah! When I was on my pre-op diet, my husband SAID he would do all the liquid diet with me. Didn't happen. The first couple of days, he took the kids elsewhere to eat. The third day, when it is really sucking, he used my minivan, and got something with french fries. I swear the smell of french fries lingered there for days after. After I gave him a hard time about that, he just started cooking at home again, and that man is the reason at least 100 lbs are on my body - he is THAT GOOD with food.
So...yeah, they're turds, but I think they don't really MEAN to be turds!
Good for you for not caving! It will get easier and you made a good decision to remove yourself from the situation. I live alone (right now) so it is easier but soon my daughter and her kids and I are going to be living together. I have thought a lot about how hard it is going to be for me to resist the chips (my daughter is skinny as can be and a chip lover - not fair!) but I have to be responsible for myself. Once you start seeing success after surgery, it will be good motivation to stay on track. I am glad that he cooked for himself though. It put temptation a little further out of your reach!
Thank you everyone for your comments. I made it!!!I didn't cave and eat anything and surgery is in the morning!

Don't give up on you, press on until you reach the finish line!
Get used to it, the world isn't having wls, you are and they don't have to be on this diet with you either. Yes would it be nice, sure, but some people refuse to change the way they eat, so you can only change you and not him. Hopefully if he needs to lose weight he will as you eat and cook healthier. My boyfriend lost 60lbs when I had wls, he didn't keep it off of course but he did lose it in the beginning.
FYI my boyfriend stopped at Wendys and had a triple burger on the day I came home from the hospital. And I have been highly successful for nearly 10 years now. You are responsible for you and no one else.
