EXERCISE . Help me please.
I have been totally unmotivated when it comes to exercise...it's cold, it's winter...blah, blah blah. Started a fitness challenge with my local support group on FB... 1/2 hour minimum per day for 21 days. well we are 11 days in and I have done it everyday. I have done exercise dvds, went to Zumba once... and sometimes I just turn on the timer and the music or TV and dance in my living room. Just do it. It doesn't have to look pretty.

Exercise is hard for me to. I bought a recumbent bike and set the alarm on my phone so when it goes off get up and ride the bike. I broke my knee several years ago and it didn't heal correctly but the bike doesn't cause pain. When I get down on myself for not doing more, I reframe that and tell myself that at least I am doing something and more will come later if I just keep at it. I always start my day with protein and I track all my food - I plan the night before what the next day will look like and if it is not on the list I don't eat it. I keep carbs to under 50gms/day. If I have "bad" items in the house I throw them out but my "mantra" if you will is to just get through the grocery store buying only what is on my list and not stopping when I am tempted - I say over and over in my mind "Just keep walking" when I want to stop and add those things that I know will not help me. I also don't want to "waste" money by buying things that I know I will throw out. It is very hard to do but keep on trying and you will get there. Make a choice in the moment for that one moment to do what is good - don't worry about all the other moments to come during the day - and before you know it all those one moment choices will come together in success. You got this! You CAN do this!
Losing weight is about restricting calories, exercise is heathy and fine but is un-needed to lose weight. You need to reduce your calories to a level you lose to your desired result and then find the right balance to maintain. I don't exercise, I have never exercised outside of walking and that is done for fun only, not for exercise. Am I the strongest person on earth, probably not, but I also don't want to live making myself do **** I hate, which is what exercise would be for me. I am at goal and been at goal for nearly 10 years by calorie restriction alone. They say it can't work, I say it can and does and I am living proof.
Good Luck.
