Finally Friday's Menu
Happy Friday Gang!!! Today and tomorrow are going to be potential record-breaking cold conditions. I had to get boots for Meisha yesterday because the cold was just too much for her feet. She is none too happy about them but realizes that her feet don't hurt when she's out in the cold. A little good news about the weekend it looks like the snowstorm is going to miss us and stay out to sea.
I never told you all that Irvin and I went to this very amazing herb store on Saturday to get some Blue Lotus flowers that the shoppe owner had ordered for us. The little store had so much stuff I could have spent hours in there looking at everything. We ended up spending a little over $100 on four different kinds of teas, Lions Mane mushroom powder, dried elderberries, Goji berries, Hogwarts smudge stick, crystalized ginger, Korintje cinnamon, Super greens powder and 5 bags of Blue Lotus flowers. She had stuff that I've never even been able to find online. We will definitely be going back. I currently have some of the Blue Lotus infusing in some white wine. In ancient Egyptian time Blue Lotus was found to have several medicinal properties and is still used today like helping with anti-inflammation, better sleep, and immune issues. I'll let you know how things go in a couple of weeks when its ready.
QOTD: For those of you who cook your own meals do you use herbs and spices? Many of you who have been around for a while know that I grow several different herbs along with garlic. I love to explore and experiment with different flavors and will find natural herbs or spices that will give a sweet or salty or even spicy taste flavor to a dish.
B: coffee with collagen
L: meatballs with sauce
D: baked sole with spinach
We braved the cold last night and went to the Y for a yoga class and tonight we will do our weight circuit.
Have a great day and weekend everyone!!!
Good Friday, everyone! I hope your morning started better than mine. My sister and I were on our way to Sally Beauty to get supplies and pink dye for my mohawk when I slipped and fell on a patch of ice in my driveway. Luckily, I wasn't' hurt too badly just a little embarrassed!
The plan is still on: I'm doing my sister's hair today, and I'll be dyeing mine either today or tomorrow. Then, tomorrow, I'm taking the kids to a sports card show!
Todays Menu
Breakfast: Overnight Berry & Greek Yogurt Parfaits
Lunch: Rainbow Pasta Salad
Dinner: Sheet Pan Lemon-Herb Chicken & Veggies
QOTD: I definitely do use spices and herbs when cooking to add flavor

Afternoon y'all.
we had a water main break down the road during the morning. So our water was dirty and the pressure was VERY low. It's fixed now and I was able to shower so I feel human again...we'll sort of ha ha.
my eating is kind of messed up lately. Not bad per se but I need to cook more which I've been avoiding. I made some cranberry beans that I put up in the freezer. I am thinking about making some soup to put up too.
my shoulder is feeling pretty good but the main incision has been leaking on and off. Today while putting my bra on it rubbed it and it started leaking milky bloody liquid. I see my surgeon Monday. Hoping it's not infected but I may have to take antibiotics...booo.
QOtD: I use both. A lot. A favorite is smoked paprika from a Mexican company that I get at a certain grocery store here, I also use their fajita seasoning that has no salt. I love spices and herbs. My mom does not. My next pot of beans will be different! More spices as she doesn't eat them much either.
B: eggs, ricotta and coffee, crackers with cheese dip.
L: veggies made great cornbread, popcorn and chocolate toffee pistachios
D: tbd. My niece, Riley, is spending the night tonight. I may just do a pp shake
bracelet I made today
