Thank an OH Friend

I'm on a roll this morning. I think that we need to thank an OH buddy today. Who has been an inspiration to you on OH? Who would you like to thank for being there for you during your wait and journey? Anybody? Anybody?

Well, the list for me could go on and on and on........ But thank you Traci P a/k/a Peabug. Thank you Teresa D. Thank you Melissa C. Thank you Erika. Thank you Jamie Gidge (who is recouperating from plastics). Thank you Linda Jones. Thank you to all who post support and love and KINDNESS all the time. And I KNOW that I've forgotten some folks, but it's not 6 a.m. yet, and I'm failing to thrive this morning. Zzzzzzzzz

I know what you mean about a list going on and on.. First and foremost I want to thank everyone that treated me so well at the Arlington convention.. For the first time in a long time I felt comfortable in public.. Well maybe not comfortable but accepted... The OH convention was the start of some very good friendships.. That is where I got to meet two inspiring men.. Kirk (Crow) and Bo.. Thanks for making me realize that anything is possible.. Well my list would have to start with Yvonne.. I would not have had the surgery without her.. Then I have to say my Angel Tx Rachel.. Thank you for the emails and encouragement.. Now the list could go on and on.. All the ladies from my support group that are on OH.. and the one that aren't on OH.. Jenny K, Erika, Michelle, Cheryl, Linda, Grace, Shannon, WLS Deb, P, Peg, Jamie G., Lori, Charlene, T.. Damn, I do believe this could go on forever.. Because everyone that comes on this board has given me a reason to be thankful.. Now I know I forgot someone and they probably will be hurt by it but if you can stop and think about all the people that you meet on here that you are thankful for that is a lot of people.. I know it may seem like all I mentioned were ladies but I am thankful for the men too.. There are so few of us on here that post all the time but I have learned some valuable life lessons from them.. I wanted to join in on this, although I have never really met many of you in person, I feel like I have known you a lifetime !!! First of all, thank you for everyone that always is so encouraging, helpful and supportive to everyone on this board. I have looked at other state sights and no one seems as daily active and motivated as this team right here. This support from the Tx OH members is what keeps me motivated in my own personal goals, and complete in my frienships that I know have been or will be where I am at some point on this journey ! I want to say thank you for Ramon....who adopted me to be his special "P" and makes me smile even when I dont think I have a smile left ! He is ambitious and courageous and inspirational, just by his words, his actions and his daily life. I feel like we have been friends forever and I plan on keeping it that way. Not to mention he is so darn cute !!! ; ) I want to say thank you for Cheryl, You realy do keep this board going on so many levels. Thank you, you too are a personal inspiration, to me, since we started out really close in the begining and how well you have done on your own journey ! Jan, you are so precious and someone I truly call my friend ! Linda, you know I love you so much !!!! There are so many, and too many to name...just know that if you are on this board and you stay active, lurke, whatever you may do, that this is truly a place filled with love and success and support ! Honestly Ms Thang, how could someone not want you as their special P.. I am just lucky that you let me adopt you.. As far as making you smile all the time.. I try to treat others the way I want to be treated and sharing smiles is one way to make the world a better place.. Now as far as the oher stuff I don't know about all that.. I just try to be me and not get stupid with this surgery.. I am so lucky to have been able to go through this life changing surgery.. It is amazing that we have grown to be so close through emailing and a one hour meeting at a hamburger place.. But I don't think I would trade you for the world.. Well maybe if they kicked in a real nice car.. Wait, not even then.. I am so lucky to have you.. The cute part is so funny.. Just when do you get a new prescription on your glasses?? Love ya P..
