Report on WLS on WFAA Dallas-Fort Worth

Anybody hear the report on WFAA last night about the girl who had WLS (gastric bypass) and she nearly died and it ruined her financially? I hope all will read and do their research before picking a surgeon! yeah, I watched that last night and was like Wow! Poor thing, I think they said 2 mllion dollars is what was ended up paying for everything.

I am in the process of writing the reporter and asking him why they don't do positive stories about WLS. I know of several people that would make great stories but you never see them.. PEACE 464/409/200

I agree Ramon! I wrote the reporter an e-mail saying the same thing. i also mentioned the importance of research and that I stress that in my support group to the newbies! I told him that he should have done something positive as well as the negative side, because there were plenty of success stories.
