Hey Mister Conductor, pick me up...

I will be boarding the train on July 30th!!!  Woohoo!!  To introduce myself, I had a lapband july of '05 that never worked so now I am scheduled to have it removed and will be having a lap RNY.  I am excited to finally begin this journey.  2 years ago I bought a convertible ready to show off my hot new body but that never happened...well I still own the car so let's get this party started.  I have been following the daily train riders for months but was afraid I'd jinx things by jumping on board too soon....but now that I have a date, I hope you'll save me a seat.  Steph

If you don't mind me asking, why didn't the band work?

Apparently it was placed too high.  I have thrown-up daily for two years and store all of my food in my esophagus.  I had a total of 8 fills and it was eventually filled to over capasity (4.5cc in a 4cc band) and I still never lost any weight.  I know of many others that it worked for and so I'm not knocking the band, just didn't work for me.

Hey Steph, My sister had the same revision done by Dr. Wilson on April 9, 2007, and she is doing fantastic with it.  Hope everything goes a okay with your surgery.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you.... Angela S.
