Good morning Stephanie!! Enjoy the shopping today!!  Wish I could come along.  But, I guess I should wait till I shrink out of these clothes first.  I have enough to last till then.  I've rediscovered the shopping bug from my youth (early 20's) and I remember now that I LIKE it!!!   Love the story about the blue mirror on the black car!!  Too funny!  Sounds like something my Dad and my dh would do.  What is it with guys????

Good morning!

Gotta do this quickly as I have to leave in 20 minutes and I haven't had a shower yet.  I do have a funny story- I have one little patient that prefers to speak to me in Spanish. I have limited Spanish skills but I try really hard to understand her. Yesterday I went to the dinning room to monitor her eating (aspiration etc). She looks at me and says something in Spanish. I ask her nicely  "Hable in englis porfavor?" (speak in English please?) She scowls at me and says that she is done speaking in English and that she hates English (all with a mischevious twinkle in her eyes). So I say well what are we going to do, because I don't speak enough Spanish and if she won't speak English then we won't be able to talk much anymore......  She says "well I guess we'll just have to talk in Dutch!" (she's very serious as she says this, by the way)  I am learning so much this semester from these little old people. and most of it doesn't have anything to do with etiologies and precautions.  Love ya!!!!  Tracey (Princess of Dutch)

Good morning Princess of Dutch! Love the story about your little lady who is just going to speak Dutch with you since you don't do Spanish and she doesn't want to do English.  That was just too cute!!!  Don't you just love the people you are working with now?  I always get such a kick out of them.  And, you are right, you do learn so much from them....if you take the time, that is.   Have a great day!!!!

Good Mornin Riders!

Hopefully I can get back into my routine of checking the train and occassionally jumping on.  Most days lately I've run out the door just as it was pulling out of the station - did everyone see me waving?? lol!  Gosh, I've been out of pocket a month or so and the whole board changes... new faces, new layout on the TMB... everything!

Has anyone out here been on a cruise to Alaska?  Wondering what to pack - this is so much different than the tropical water cruises.  We are so looking forward to this.  Brett gets a round of chemo prior to leaving and says even if he's on a stretcher, he's still makin the trip!

I had a consult for the 360 body lift in Dallas on Monday at UT Southwest.  For any of you interested for the spring semester, I suggest you make your appointments NOW.  I had this consult appointment scheduled since last January.  They will be performing the surgery on me in August.  This is a significant way to save money if you are self pay for any plastics.  I'm saving over 65%.  The full price for the body life is $4500... including hospital stay and anesthesia.  Now the down side is they only do one procedure at a time.  Meaning I cannot get the "girls" done at the same time as the Abdominoplasty.  Gotta go back for that one.  Contact me for more info, I'll be happy to pass along what I know. Welcome to all of you new faces out there!  Enjoy your journey, its a wild ride!  Take Care... Robin

Good morning Robin!!! Two days in a row!!  WTG!!!  Glad to see you are working on making us a habit again.  We've been missing you!  The plastic surgery sounds great...and what a price break!  Too bad they don't do the girls when they do the abdominoplasty...but for that price, who cares, right??   Have a good day!!

Good morning all!!!  Sounds like we all need another couple of hours in bed this morning.  I swear my alarm clock woke up early, even though the time was right it had to be at least a couple hours too soon!!!  Still struggling some with keeping stuff down, though it's more hit or miss now instead of nothing staying down.  I did manage to keep the acid pill down this morning so hopefully that will start helping out. Sending prayers out to Sara and her docs!  I sure hope they get everything fixed up quick today!   Hope everyone has a fantastic Wednesday!!! Debbi

Morning Debbi!!! Glad to hear the pill stayed down this morning.  Hope it kicks in soon so everything else will stay down today too!!  Good luck finding some time to rest today since your alarm clock woke you up "early" this AM.   What happened to everyone last night?? Seems like I'm the only one who got a decent night's sleep.  But, after about 3 months of not sleeping, it was time...so I have decided to NOT feel guilty about it!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!!

Good morning TMB!!! I'm awake and posting early this morning.  Woke up at 7:00, started praying for Sara and everyone else on here.  Once I was finished, I couldn't go back to sleep, so I jumped out of bed and started cleaning. The house looks great and smells wonderful...and the teenager is still in bed asleep.  All he has to do now is use the leaf blower out front and we are READY for potential buyers to visit.  I love being READY.  David...  What a big hearted guy you are to make such sacrifices!!    Thanks for the compliment on Sara's room.  We worked really hard yesterday.  And, what about going over 100!!!!!  Wooo hoooo!!!  I love it when the train has a great day like that!!  But, I'm not attempting it again today.  I'll wait till next week to go crazy again....maybe..... you just never know what could happen if I get bored at home again today.... Got good news (sort of) from my realtor last night.  My house made it onto the MLS tour they are having with all the realtors in our area.  They will all be coming thru on Friday.  This will give my house lots of exposure.  But, now my realtor thinks I may need to tear down my shed in the back to make my yard look larger.  Ummmm....anyone have some aggression they need to take out in demolition??  I am sooo not into this idea.  She's coming over this afternoon to "take a look" and see what "we" can do.  I love that royal "we"....Ummmm....hello?  Is she going to roll up her sleeves and help me?? I think not.  Her idea of help is suggesting that I call the handyman - AGAIN.  Sorry, that man has gotten enough of my money!   That's it from CC today!  Have a great one everyone!!!  MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!!!

you know, demolition is good for the soul!  My DD had a neighbor who's cactus has spread through the fence and the kids kept getting stuck by it, so with her neighbor's permission we went out to dig it up and we didn't have a shovel......   Eventually, there was 6 of us out there whacking away at it with pruning shears, garden trowels, pliers and whatever else we could get a hold of...... we even took the dog's cable tie and tied it to the truck bumper and hooked it around one of the main trunks of the cactus and pulled up a root that was about 18 inches long.... when we tried that with the next trunk we snapped the cable! It was an all day thing and we were sunburned and dead tired afterwards, but we all agreed that we had a great time and took out alot of pent up aggression on that cactus! So go for it! Hugs,
