Monday - WLS EXPRESS

Good Morning Everyone! UGGHHH!!! I am sooo sick of the rain! That and conf calls! I have again been on the phone since 7am this morning. I am so ready to be done for the day and it's only 10am. My house is going to float away soon if it doesn't stop raining. I live on lake lavon and before all the rain started we couldn't see the lake from our porch. Now the lake is our back yard!!!! HELP! I need to invest in a boat QUICKLY!  My dad is upset with me today for good reason, instead of staying home and spending the day with him I took my kids and spent the day at the Ft. Worth Zoo. Well the afternoon when it finally stopped raining. We had such a good time though and I got lots of walking in! We went with Chris, his mom and his older girls. So he did get to spend father's day with all of his kids. That was really nice. I had a wow moment while there. I went there after surgery and couldn't walk the whole zoo without several rest stops. Yesterday I walked for 4 hrs no problem. Sat down maybe twice and that was just to watch the animals and the kids. There was 6 kids total so there was lots of running and chasing going on!

So today I'm making up for father's day to my dad. I made him breakfast. Will find something to make for lunch, and then making the rib recipe posted here for dinner tonight. Already got them in the crock pot. YUMMY! Plus we did buy him a 50 inch plasma flat screen tv. I was thinking that was more than enough. But I should have known that man is spoiled rotten!  Saying lots of prayers for Terry Ann today. I hope her knee surgery goes well. Hugs and prayers for everyone else that needs them.  Oh yeah I weighed in Saturday morning and down another 7.4. That makes a total of 65 lbs now. YEAH! Take care, Brandi

Hi Brandi!! Glad to hear you had such a great time at the Zoo!!  Fantastic job on being able to walk the whole time.  That's fabulous!!! Congrats on being down another 7.4 pounds!!  WAY TO GO!!!!! 

Hi Stephanie! Sorry to hear about Father's Day getting ruined by a waitress.  Especially after waiting all week to go there!  Bummer... Were you able to get your cleaning accomplished?  I TRY to wait until I have completed mine before I get on the computer.  Once I am on-line, time flies and nothing gets done in the house. 

Good morning train riders.  I am here for a quick check in.  My tooth is killing me.  So much, that I am prating fr my root canal to get here!  It hurts so bad that I do not even want to eat!  That is a first.  Mt stomach is also killing me from all of the painkillers.  I am in so much pain that two vicodan are not even touching the pain.  I am going to try to clean up the house and at least get tot he gym to walk a little.  See you guys tomorrow! -Yvonne

Yvonne!!  I'm so sorry to hear about the pain you are in because of your tooth. How much longer till the root canal?  Hope it's coming up soon....like TOMORROW!!!  Take care and remember, you've gotta eat.  Even if it's just soups and protein drinks.  Anything is better than nothing.  Might help with the tummy problems from all the meds too.... Hope you are feeling better soon.  Take care!!

David!  I'm sorry to hear about the tree falling on your house, and especially not having TV!  Dang, I don't think we could survive without tv. 

I had a pretty good weekend.  Spent Saturday with Mom and teaching a class at the quilt store.  Friday was Mom's birthday, and Dad forgot!!  He came skulking in Saturday with flowers and an apology!!  Since he's retired, he doesn't keep track of the days.  He honestly forgot.  Therese had to ask him what they were doing for her birthday.  He didn't know and asked Therese what the date was on Saturday!!  Anyway, I think mom's appeased, but she told him that it would never happen again!! Sunday I spent the day making jewelry and then we took Mom and Dad to Joe's Crab Shack off of Western Center for dinner.   Then we went to Best Buy to shop around.  I didn't buy anything, but the rest of the family did.  If it weren't for a lying twit on a cell phone, I wouldn't be poor right now!  $500 to get my car out of the shop!!  Anyway, whew, I'm getting past this, (or at least trying to) and getting on with my life! Terry Ann, good luck with your knee surgery!  Prayers are going out for you today!  Speaking of prayers, please pray they find that 4 YO girl that washed away in Haltom City last night.  I sure hope they find her whole and well.  What a shame to be evacuating and lose your child in the flood!! Gina, I love the new avitar!  Maybe Therese can photoshop you and him in the picture together! Jack, I loved your slide show!  You got some great photos!!  I love the one with Therese and I in our traditional pose!  Boy, that looks as stupid now as it did all the time we were growing up!  Thanks for that!!  LOL!!  (hearing Barbara Striesand singing Memories!) Well, gotta go.  Have more work to do here!  Plus I need to finish my applications for the jobs I want to put in for! Love to all!!

I am sure that you have already heard by now, but it sounds like they have already found the 4 year old that was washed away this weekend.  HOW SAD!!

Hope everyone, particularly our guys, had a wonderful Father's Day.  I went to the beach on Saturday... didn't rain on us and we had a good time. David, sorry to hear about your house.  I mean your tree.  Nope, your satellite.  Dang, life will be hard till you get that fixed!
