Sunday WLS Express

Good Sunday morning train riders.  Looks like our conductor David slept in a while today!  That's good.  Nurse Gina must have slept in, too before she had to go to work today.  I'll try to crank the engine and get her rolling down the tracks. I got all my baking done yesterday and we got the popcorn scraped off the ceilings and the mess cleaned up from that.  We also ripped up the carpet and pad in my bedroom.  Today I drive my sister, my son, and her 2 youngest kids to Angleton to a family gathering for an uncle that died last month and was cremated and didn't have a funeral.  We're having a BBQ lunch and not sure what else while we're there.    Got to go get ready to leave.   Terry Ann...are you following dr's orders like a good girl?  Hope you're still doing okay.   To all the OH Austin Conference attendees, hope you had a great time yesterday.   Nurse Gina...how many plateaus did you bust yesterday? GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!!!! Its Sunday! Gina I'm so proud of you on the plateau busters- keep up the good work!!!! I had fun seeing everyone at the group- Tom is looking so good. Que- I hardly recognized because she's getting so thin! I'm just chatting away and I turn to see Bryan and David geeking it up in the corner playing with their PDA's... lol. Just kidding guys, I know you were trying to help Tracey with her phone. It was good to meet The Cortex family too! Welcome aboard guys- before you know it we'll be calling you losers too!  We left the breakfast, went to discount tire, went to look at my new apartment, which is ready, just waiting on me to sign the lease Friday, went out to lunch, got the car, and went to my sister's where my folks were. They drove in from PA and arrived around noon. My sister and BIL went away for the night because it was their anniversary so my parents were thrown into grandparent duty right away. Bryan and I helped- we all went to CiCi's- where I had coupons for each kid to eat free. Then we went to La Gran Plaza for the kids to play on the playground. It used to be Seminary South Mall for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about- on 35 and Seminary Drive. Its a great clean playground in the food court. Just don't eat the pizza or the Chinese food- both aren't good. The mexican food though is great! And bring cash-noone takes credit cards in that mall. I work at the 7 story building attached to the mall actually. its a bunch of social service providers in that building. Today we're all going to do church and then I've got to go grocery shopping. That's about all that is on the agenda.  I just pray that Chris's moods improve. He's been having a hard time for a month or so now, mood swings, just unhappy overall. The doc has been adjusting his meds- Friday we started a new dose of one of them. So we'll have to see. I might have to put him in an all day outpatient program if he doesn't get better, so they can monitor him and decide what changes need to be made. So, if you could pray that this new medication change works I'd appreciate it. We might have to cancel our CO vacation if it doesn't because its hard enough for him to have a change in schedule on vacation when he's feeling stable, even harder when he isn't. So we'll have to wait and see.  Take care everyone and have a great day!

Alissa, Sounds like you had a BUSY day yesterday! Whew! Prayers are coming your way for Chris!  Keep us posted on how he is doing.

Not much going on here. 

David -  I just got a Treo 700wx from eBay yesterday.  I haven't gotten it yet (obviously), but I may need some "Geek" help as Alissa put it.  I am quite the geek when it comes to electronics too.  I haven't told my hubby yet that I got a new phone, bcuz I know what I will hear....YOU JUST GOT A NEW PHONE 6 MONTHS AGO!!  AHHHHH!   You would think he would be used to it by now. haha.  I am really excited bcuz I have wanted a PDA phone for a while, so that I can organize my life. (If that is possible.) haha.

 

Sending up special prayers for Chris--moving will be tough on him-but he WILL make it thru..and--as for the vacation--GO!!! He will have a whole lifetime of having to adjust to this hard ole world we live in. YOu are such a wonderful mother. I cried many of tear over Corbin when he was little, with the world not understanding his ADHD "needs"--and fought many fights for him. I really am impressed that Bryan takes such an interest in Chris. Not that you care what I think..lol..just wanted you to know!!!

Good Morning TMB!!!! It's quiet at my house this morning as the teens are still asleep after staying up half the night.  I had planned to go to church this morning, but as we need to leave 20 minutes from now and they are still comatose, that's not going to happen.  Oh well...  Not much happening here to talk about.  The sun is shining today though, so that's nice.  Maybe someone will decide to come look at the house today.  No one has been to see it since Tuesday!!  Not a good thing when I am wanting to sell and move before high school marching band practice starts in August in VA.  This is starting to get nerve wracking....BIG TIME!  Pray for our house to sell, please.  We desperately need those prayers. Alissa ~ Sorry to hear Chris is having problems currently.  I hope the doctor is able to get his meds adjusted appropriately. Will keep you guys in my prayers. Good morning train riders!!  I was worried that I would be mugged at the station because there was no one there to ride the train this morning.  I haven't been on for a few days.  I worked the past 2 days, I'm off today, then work Mon and Tues then leave on Wed for Arkansas to see my Mom.  She's 85 years young, still plays golf, drives and maintains her house all by herself.  What a woman!!  It's a long boring 8 hour drive but there is no airport close.  My DH and DD are going with me. Karla, what ambition you have!!  I'm tired just reading your posts. Alissa, I pray Chris feels better and you will be able to go on your trip.  It sounds like you need some "you" time. To the PB girls...way to go.  We are all anxiously awaiting the results and are soooo proud of you for doing it.   Sara and Terry Anne, continued wishes for a speedy recovery. To everyone in Austin---try to stay out of jail and we want a full report. Susan, as always we appreciate the cheerleading and you really do look cute in the outfit!! I went to a Dr Barker support group meeting the other night and met some wonderful people.  I invited them to join...if any of you are lurking out there, please jump on the train and introduce yourself.  It's a very warm fussy place to be. I'm cooking my DH prime rib for dinner tonite as his Father's Day was sucky.  Then in the morning, I'm putting Mel's ribs in the crockpot before I go to work---can't wait to taste them!! Good Sunday Train Riders! Weekend express is rolling!!!! Yesterday was not too bad - girls and I had to hit Target for a birthday gift for a party that Katie went to. I was also juggling phones for my husband's towing business, Road Avengers. That necessitated a stop at Starbucks for my Venti - French Vanilla - no fat - no foam - Latte.  Loved chatting on line with Cindy Mc yesterday - we decided that we were the only ones that were not "groupy" yesterday - we weren't in Austin or in Ft. Worth. Let's all MAKE Cindy go to the doctor this week. I might have given her my gallbladder thing!  Sam the man comes home today!!!!  Yippeeee! Let the fighting and squabbling begin!  Friday is Six Flags day! Should be fun - now if I could only find CHEAP tickets! As if any exist!  Some neighbors are coming over in a bit for lunch and a swim so off to light the grill and have some fun!!!! Sara

Sometimes you can find cheaper Six Flags tickets on eBay (better hurry), or most grocery stores have discount coupons, and some Coke cans have coupons.  Hope this helps.

HEB usually sells discount tickets, and many banks and credit unions offer discounts for their memners.

Thanks for caring Sara but, this problem that I am having isn't Gall Bladder... Is the other bladder.   I know that this little guy is on the crapper but, the pain was so bad at times before my medicine kicked in that I felt just like that guy... I am 100% better.. I would definately go to the Dr. if I wasn't though.. trust me. Yeah I know sometimes I wait longer than I should but I promise that if I really need to go,, I will be gone to the Dr. I am so not into pain.. Didn't realized what pain I was in until Friday.. But.. Thanks again.. I am better and will be back at work tomorrow after being off for a little more than a week. Sure wish I had been born rich so I could just take off as long as I needed to in order to get everything done with this move and then go to work when I got ready to go back.. Yeah I know it doesn't work like that but a girl can dream.. Talk to you soon.
