Good Morning everyone!!!!  Glad I found my way to the train this morning, I still had to use my onStar and mapquest to find y'all...Maybe the train can ride NORTH of Dallas today..... Sharyn, Sara, and Susan wanna ride???? LOL  ( I love you girls to pieces....we are still laughing about my directions here at the house...I'm getting all kinds a jokes now....good thing I can laugh at ME) Yesterday was a great day, no real major headache I never went to bed because of it... Had a wonderful time at the Terrell Support Group had a very nice crowd, I just love my peeps....they keep me true to myself and offer soooo much support!!!  Last night we had peeps over for dessert, we did the progressive type dinner last night, Dinner & drinks at their house, Dessert & entertainment at our house...You know my dessets have improved 110% since having WLS...and I really do not eat them...I made a fresh strawberry cake with homemade strawberry icing, I dipped fresh strawberries in chocolate and drizzled white chocolate over them, I made mini chocolate chip cookies, and Starwberry Margarita's.... Now I only had on small dipped strawberry....past on the margarita thought that would not be cool with my headaches....and hosted the best part of the night...everyone thought everything looked soooo nice and tasted soooo flippin good!!  Then the "Martha Stewart" came out in me and I packaged in to-go boxes leftovers....I hate when Martha invades me, cause I get real anal about things, and I was very anal last night...LOL  I kinda had the Martha and Donna Reed syndrome going on.....LOL Not much on the agenda today, we woke up late, the kids are still sleeping, I just had my first protein coffee and going to start on my second...I of course if raining here....My Stars... when is all of this rain going to go away???? I hope everyone has a blessed Sunday, love and hugs to all, prayers and well wishes to those that need them, Remember to share a smile with someone today!!!!  OXOX

Good morning TMB, Sorry about not climbing on board yesterday but the birthday train rolled out ahead and I was "all aboard for Jim"  Toot Toot-  j/k but I was busy trying to make it a great day for him.  I have to tell you this man loves shopping trips more than any girl I have ever seen.  He has always bought these flowered shirts and old man jeans- so me and the almost 16 year old made it our mission to refresh his look (ok, to help him look younger I know I know) and boy did it work.  That man got over 300.00 worth of new studs and he is a hotter stud now. Now before you guys say ahhh how sweet, this little Momma walked out with 2 new pairs of shoes by Carlos Santana (priced at 175.00 for one and 190.00 for the other and I got them both for a total of 41.86!!!!  Swear I have a shoe addiction going on but the new weight is making them look good using old school smiley cause my cookies are full lol Dont go there guys.... The scale is rocking today as I am down 2.8 more pounds and loving it all.  Been dealing with constant hunger and trying to see if it was head or body-  how do you KNOW????  Vitamins are in, coffee with 24gms of protein started and salmon ready for the grill today if the rain doesn't wash us out.  Prayers sent out to everyone and know that I wouldn't be here without each and every one of you.  So blessed to say I know you let alone have the honor to say you're my friend.  Love ya guys Tanya  aka Princess Nurse 157 woo hoo

Good Morning, All You Beautiful Texas Losers!!!  How the hell are ya??? We have another glorious Sunday morning here in Bastrop!  I love it when I can see the sunlight filtering in through the trees.  It really is lovely.  I can't even tell you how magical this property is.  We are so lucky to have it.  We have had a little bit of rain this morning, but nothing too bad. Right now I am feeling very blessed.  I can hear Emily and Janet talking about the human skeleton.  I love to listen in on their conversations when they don't know it.  Emily always asks such interesting questions.  Her curiousity astounds me.  Ahhh, to be a child again and have everything be new and exciting. Today is going to be another boring day at home.  It really stinks to be so broke all the time.  But, I think that this will be the last summer that I will not work.  After I complete my Nursing Skills class that starts next Monday, I will be eligible to work as a nurse's aid.  I still don't think that I want to work while I'm in school, but I'm thinking I might work in the summer.  I just don't know.  It's a good thing that I don't have to make a decision today. Tuesday is payday, though.  We are trying to find something that we can do on the cheap.  We all have a pretty good case of cabin fever and need to get out and do something.  We bought the pool pass, thinking we could go swimming 2 or 3 times a week.  With the rain, that has just not been happening.  Oh, well.  It's still already paid for itself, so it hasn't been a total bust.  And the swim season isn't over yet - we still have 2 more months. I just wanted to make a comment on what I perceive to be a common theme in everyone's posts this morning.  Everyone is so busy and active!!  Isn't that amazing?  All of our lives have changed so much since WLS.  I know how limited my ability to be active was before WLS and now I never have to question whether or not I can do something because of my weight.  I am so grateful for this surgery and losing 125 pounds.  We are all truly blessed.  And I am so proud of us for taking our lives back!!   Bouncy Colors 2 Bouncy Colors 2 Bouncy Colors 2 Bouncy Colors 2 Bouncy Colors 2  Gina - Thanks again for getting this train rolling on down the tracks.  I'm glad to see that you got your warpaint, I mean, makeup on.  You look FABULOUS!!  And green beans ROCK!!  Dolled Up   Lipstick 3 Blush Eyeshadow 2  David - Thanks to you and your two boys for helping Alissa get moved.  And then to go home and walk and do all that gardening!!  Thank goodness for WLS!!  Movers  Gardening  Karla - I bet your niece was a vision of loveliness in her wedding gown.  How sweet of you to make her veil.  And I'm sure that you and your sister's dresses will turn on very nice.  You will be sleeping in your own bedroom soon!!  Wedding Dress  Dreaming  Alissa - I'm glad that the weather held long enough for you to get moved.  I'm also glad that you had so much help getting it done.  I hope you and Chris enjoy your new home.  Movers  Welcome Home  Stephanie G. - I'm glad to hear that you had a good visit with your mom and that you made in home safely.  I bet it was hard for you and the teens to be without internet!!  I love craigslist!!  In August, I plan on shopping for a treadmill on there!!  Car 5  Computer  Danni - I'm sorry that life keeps throwing you curve balls.  But it's not crazy to feel happy and calm in the middle of a crisis if you are confident that you are making good decisions.  I got laid off from my job 2 years ago and decided to go back to school.  I just felt like it was the right thing to do - even if it was scary.  Just keep doing the next right thing and everything will be OK.  Many hugs to you, Tim, and the boys!!  Big Hug Spread Love With Hugs   Kathy - Happy Birthday!!  I'm glad your celebration was fun!!  And congrats on having just a little bite of cake!!  Happy Birthday  Singer 2  Brandi - Woohoo!!  64 pounds GONE!!  And you were able to walk around for THREE hours!!  I'm so happy for you!  Have fun planning your summer vacation!!

WooHoo  Congrat  Mel, aka, Martha - I'm so glad that you were able to find your way to the train this morning!  Did you have to use OnStar or MapQuest??  Janet and I got a good laugh out of that last night!!  If we come to visit, will you cook yummy, WLS-friendly food and desserts for us??  That strawberry cake sounds divine!!  I'm dumping just thinking about it!!  Map  Hungry  Tanya - Man, I wish Janet liked to shop as much as I do!!  You are a lucky girl!!  I have a shoe fetish that goes back to my childhood, so I'm very jealous that you got 2 pair of Carlos Santana shoes for $42!!  You ROCK!!  I hope that Jim's birthday was ummmm, memorable, to say the least!!  High Heels  Shopping 3  You Rock  Prayers going out to all those in need and love to ALL!!! Hope you found something to do today. My sister is at home this summer with the girls, because she's a teacher, and she has been taking them to different library's for programs. I realize Bastrop is smaller but hopefully there are some free things to do. Its been better than finding a park- most are under water these days! lol.

Yea, we've been going to the library a lot.  They have a summer reading program that we're ALL participating in.  Emily has already read nearly 1500 pages and Janet & I both are at about 2500 pages.  They have a kid's story time, but that is geared towards the wee ones.  They also have some craft activities during the day and on Thursday evenings they have a Brown Bag Movie Night.  I think we're gonna do the movie on Thursday.   I've been online and I'm thinking the IMAX theater at the Bob Bullock Museum.  They have a pretty good movie about African Safaris that Em might be interested in.  Then there's always the Austin Children's Museum.  They have lots of hands-on activities for the kiddos and they're pretty cheap.  UT also has some really good museums in Austin with lots of science exhibits.  We've seen the dinosaur exhibit before, but it's been quite a while.  It was VERY cool, if I remember correctly.    What I REALLY want to do is go to Fiesta Texas in San Antonio.  Or better yet, go to Arlington and go to Six Flags, followed by a Ranger's baseball game.  Janet is from Dallas and she loves to do that.  We used to do it all the time when her parents still lived there.  But they moved to Virginia, so now we don't have a cheap place to stay anymore!!  Darn it!! I'm sure we'll figure something out!!  I will get back on Austin360.com later.  Bastrop also has a pretty decent little fireworks show.  We'll do that, for sure.  Then summer school starts a week from Monday.  I definitely won't be bored after that!!!

Gina,  I want to thank you for getting us rolling this morning. I was on earlier but had to get up and get ready for church and so I didn't make the morning train. I don't have a problem hopping on the afternoon train though cause I had a wow moment at church.. There is this young lady at church who sings in the choir and has such joy that I really find myself watching her when she sings. Well after church I was walking out and she started talking to me and asked me very quietly if I had lost a bunch of weight.. I just smiled at my other friend there that knows what has transpired in my life and said yes I have. She said how much have you lost? I was so proud to say.....,mmmmmm 77 pounds.  She was just so cute and I told her I really appreciated her asking if I had lost weight because it seems everyone else always says... Oh I love your new hair cut.... I haven't cut my hair since before surgery.. Now a lot of it has fallen out and continues to do so but it isn't shorter. I also enjoyed the service at church.. really got me to thinking about my roll as a christian.. I find that I have been a passive christian and not an active one. I don't participate as much as I used to. Now I have been very busy lately but, that is really no excuse for me.. I must make my mind up and be an active christian and start participating in the whole process. I need to be telling more people about my church and all. The only thing that bothers me at the current time is that now that I have moved, I am so much farther from my church that I have actually thought about trying some different ones here in my area to see if I should change.. I know that I actually have to do that and pray about it and see where God leads me but the pastor at my church made me realize today that I need to be more involved with a church.. Be it the one I go to now or maybe where ever it is that God leads me in the future. Ok well thanks for listening to me ramble.. I just felt that I needed to get this on paper per se so that I can have it to look back on and know I need to hold myself accountable for my actions and non actions. Thanks for listening or reading.  More later

Howdy TMB!! Y'all sent the rain to Galveston last nite and this morning but it's ok - the grass needed it.  It's really cloudy and muggy but I'm ok with that as long as it doesn't last more than a day!!! Got to sleep in this morning; had friends over last nite - it's really my ex's cousin and her husband that are about 10 years older.  They are the sweetest couple and I'm glad we've managed to stay friends thru the years.  They brought and bottle of wine and I actually ventured out there and drank about 1/2 a glass......didn't get drunk but felt really mellow.....interesting, used to take me 1/2 a bottle to get to that point!!!   Mom and little sis came down to visit and we filled out Mom's paperwork to start going 2 days a week to the Seniors Place - kind of an adult day care for folks with dementia [did I come close to spelling that right?]  Then DD and I went to lunch with them before they headed back to Houston - nice visit with all 3 generations - I treasure these times even if Mom can't communicate so well anymore, it's just nice to have her here!! One thing I've noticed - since I got rid of the IV fluids gain, my scale is dropping like a stone, 1-2 pounds every day......I'm not sure what's up with that and I will gladly take it for sure.  The only thing I'm doing different is making darned sure I get all my protein and water and some fresh veggies every day; keeping the carbs down to zero or a bare minimum since I'm not as active right now.....I'll take it anyway I can get it off!! Tomorrow is SUTURE REMOVAL DAY!!!  I told DD if she didn't do it before she leaves in the a.m. I'll take 'em out by myself!!  And Yes, David, I will be out of the RCC on Thursday - my surgeon faxed over my release to go back to work already - WOOHOO!!!  My friend says I'm a poster child for partial knee replacement surgery.......I'm just motivated to get back my mobility and move on with this new life of mine!!!! It's nap time - prayers going out to all who need 'em - welcome to the losers bench to all our new post-ops and good positive warm fuzzies to Everyone!!!!
