Tuesday - WLS EXPRESS
Good morning everyone,
This should be a short day at work. We usually get off at least an hour early the day before a holiday. Just depends on how many phone calls we get and how busy everyone is. We are pretty good about making it look really slow. lol
Well, I had quite a surprise when I got home from work yesterday. Britt was at work and Josh was sleeping since he's been working nights this week. I walked in the front door and our psycho dog, Mollie, was laying on the couch. My first thought was that she had started freaking out with the thunder we had earlier and Josh got up and let her in. Well, I was pretty upset with Josh because there were muddy foot prints everywhere. Mostly on the tile in the kitchen but there were some on the carpet also. I cleaned up the tile and then noticed that the curtain was missing from one of the windows in our "cat" room. Then I noticed that the window was opened. Then I saw all the mud all over the window, all over the cat food, all over everything. Apparently, the last time that window had been opened, Britt forgot to latch it. With Mollie jumping at the window, she managed to open the window, jump through the window, take a tour of the house with her muddy feet and then park it on the couch. The curtain is laying in a puddle of muddy water outside the window along with the curtain rod. Needless to say, Britt will be doing some cleaning today.
I hope everyone has a great day.
so far today has been great - got up and hit the work out room - 20 mins on the treadmil (thye have gazells instead of elipticals
) and then upper body - met up with the hubby and 4yo and furbaby and off we went on an hour long walk - we walk as a family for 10 mins or so then tim takes off running till 6:30 at which time we all turn around and he catches back up with us - who have not run or gone as far and we walk home as a family - last weeks dragging little one the whole way has paid off b/c today he kept up at his speed walk/jog pace with my fast walkign the entire walk - my family is soooo great - we set a goalt o be active as a familiy and we are sucededing - tim and I will take turns leaving the hosue and hitting the work out room for wieghts and jog/run sprints on the treadmilll till our household good get here and then we will just take turns as to who gets to the weights first b/c I will do my 45 mins on the eliptical and tim will use the treadmil in the workout room

yep I changed my goal - it is where I REALLY want to be so that is where I am heading not to the surgoens "good enough goal"

I know what I need to do - I have to choose to take care of me or I choose to fail
It's finally payday and we are going to have some fun today, ourselves. Austin does not have anything nearly as exciting as Sea World, Six Flags, Schlitterbahn, or Fiesta Texas. But we DO have Austin Park 'n Pizza and we are all going there today. They have go cart racing, bumper boats, an indoor rock climbing wall, mini golf, kiddie rides, and a pizza buffet for an all-inclusive price. So we are off for breakfast at IHOP and then a day fun, fun, fun. I just hope that it doesn't rain. Cross your fingers!!
David - Enjoy the fireworks show!! It sure is awfully nice of you to host this fun event.
Karen - I LOVE "Hotel Californina!!" Did you have any more "gym drama" yesterday??
Alissa - Have fun staying in with Chris tonight!
Terry Ann - I'm getting me some Starbuck's today!!
Cindy - I can FINALLY see your new avatar - SWEET!!
Sara - Do we have puppies, yet?? Maybe you should take her back to the vet today. That's nice of Sam to stay at home to "babysit" the babysitter. What a guy!!
Annette - Well, look on the bright side - at least Mollie didn't break the window to get in the house!!
Danni - Good luck with the PB plan!! I am so PROUD of you and your whole family for getting active!! Go to mypyramid.gov for nutrition/portion size for your 5-year-old. Hope the visit with the troubled teen goes well.

Well, I have plans to make it to David's for fireworks, but if it's raining, I probably won't make it.
Danni, I think I'm going to continue the PB plan with you. I didn't lose anything when I was on it before, so I'm hoping if I continue, it'll help. I went out and bought some more cheese that I like, and meat and stuff, so I'm ready. Work is getting me down. It's so difficult to keep your head up when people keep beating you down. I try to be positive, but sometimes it doesn't work. Tanya, I'm sorry that your six months in ICU don't count towards your review. That's wrong. Sara, Please call the vet for your little furbaby. I don't think she's going to have an easy delivery since she's so small. She may need some help from a professional. I can't wait to see the photos! I love puppies!! They have the sweetest breath!! My little blind poodle has old man breath now and I'm afraid he isn't long for this world, however he's hung on this long, he'll probably surprise everyone and be here for another 5 or 6 years!! Well, I guess I'd better go. I really don't have much to say, so I'll say goodbye for now. I'll keep reading to see how everyone is doing. Love to all!!
Initial surgery 2006-Highest weight 305 - got down to 180

I'm sorry to hear things are still horrible at work. Hopefully soon, it will all settle down and you can get a job in another division. I will continue to pray for you that it will happen.
Good luck as you continue with PB. You can do it!!!!
Take care and have a great day!!
