Gina 23 years out
on 7/6/07 8:12 pm - Burleson, TX

All Aboard!!!!!!!!!!!! It's probably not real safe for ME to start the train, being half asleep..BUT..since I'm about to be out on the on the highway half asleep, maybe it's good practice! Today is day 4 of my 9 day work stretch. You know, you just can't outgive God, and you have to be so careful what you pray for. With this job, if I don't work I don't get paid (paid per visit-no vacation or sick pay), so I was kinda worried about taking vacation, etc and I prayed God would see me thru it. I normally have 11-15 visits daily, which equals into about 8 hrs actual work in a 12 hour period. The past 3 days I've had 20-25 visits a day, with 12-14 actual work hours- each day-yikes!! I haven't even time to see if I have enough underwear to pack for vacation!! I don't THINK I have quite as many visits today, and am going to try REALLY REALLY hard to cut out for some coffee with my lifelines. The good news: No time to worry about eating crap..The bad news: Not taking enough time to really drink enough. I've been getting eough protein only because of the New Whey tubes (wish Vitamin Shoppe delivered..lol)..ALISSA--many prayers for you and our CHRIS..Gotta run..Hope everyone has a blessed day, full of sunshine..and PROTEIN!! Oh--and HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MATTHEW !!!!!!!

Good Morning,   How are we this am?  Ready for breakfast, are you going to make it to eat, Gina. I am bringing DD, so she can meet some of the people that will be praying for me during and after surgery, and those cheering me on, I think she thinks she already knows you all. She will be the only child with me for surgery, I am making the others go to family reunion, Several family members might not make till the next one and I want kids to be there. Prayers to all, parents, kids, and puppies. Angels all around us. See you at breakfast if you are  around FW. Love and Hugs,  Sherry

It was great seeing you at the breakfast!  Tell your daughter to not worry so much.  And to lay off the criticism a little bit.  No one likes an "I told you so" person!!  Its evident that she cares, but it can be annoying.  See you in two weeks!!  Take care!!

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE! Today is going to be a good day. I've decided that I'm going to do whatever it takes for Chris to get better, and on Monday will be calling a psychiatrist and psychologist that come reccommended and getting him with them. I think we need a fresh prescpective right now. Today we're going to the breakfast and then back to my house. This afternoon if the sun holds out, we're going swimming at Hulen Street Baptist Church because my apartment complex neglected to mention at any point during my visits or when I signed my lease that the pool is closed until further notice. So, the church pool is really within walking distance but we'll probably drive, and its not expensive to go. I'm so disgusted about the pool. They do have a nice exercise room with a treadmill and stair stepper and stuff, only about 20 feet from my apartment-hey maybe one day I'll actually go! lol. Man I'm going to have so much work next week. I took the 30th of June off, I was off Tuesday, Wed and Friday of last week due to various things. I'm going to have alot of catching up to do for sure. Oh well, I can only do one thing at a time. Right?  Gina- sounds like you're keeping busy for sure. I find driving is a good time to drink my water. I just keep sipping as I'm driving. BUT I have to be prepared for traffic jams- don't want to get stuck in one if I think I'm going to have to stop and pee. lol. That happened to me once and I was literally crying by the time I was able to get off the road and stop. Well, I'd better get the troops up and moving! Hope to see you all there!

Alyssa, it was great seeing you today!  I'm glad that Chris is doing better.  I hope you get the care that you need from the new doctors.  He is such a sweet boy, I hate to see that ya'll are having problems.  Don't work too hard this week!

Good morning!  Not real sure what I have on the agenda today other than concentrating on getting in all my protein and water today I work the next two days so I always take  it easy before that. Sara, any pups yet?  I will be interested to hear your experiences as in less than 60 days I might be going through this myself.  Despite the fact that we got our male fixed he got to our dog twice that we know of and the vet says it was still in the time it could still be a problem.  So now we wait...should know in about a week if she is or not.  Oh and the poor things will be so ugly.  He is a dachshund and she is a yorkie-poodle mix. ...long bad hair day pups lol. Ok, well since I am up I am going to get my crew up and figure out what we would like to do today. Have a wonderful day! Donna

Good morning TMB, OMG, the floods and rain yesterday were unbelievable-took me 2 hours to get home and everything was blocked off on the highway.  Lost my car in Alison so I am better now but it got scary at some points.  There is actually sun today and my skin is craving it as is my mood. Today is going to be party preparation for Monday and there is nothing done so far.  We have about 47 people coming and I hate putting things off til the last moment.  Got to get out my DD baby books and look for pics that will not embarress her too much mahhhaaawww.  I am also going to cover my co-workers call from 5-10 so he can baptize his son and my luck will have to transplant a liver.  Jim wants to go out dancing but there is no way I can take that chance if I am on call. Got all of the ducks in a row for our vacation to see Jim's parent on July 21st.  Jim, Nikki and I are flying to TN for a week and we have a cabin booked to go horseback riding, tubing and hiking.  Know for a fact I would have never ever done this last year being so fat and actually look forward to doing all of the things I was too heavy to do before. They have a huge boat so we are going there for a few days as well.  I am beyond excited to get away for a while and I adore his parents. My scale and weight are causing some internal issues and once again I am lost with it all.  Dont think it is my food intake but starting today I am going to be militant with keeping track.  Like you Gina, I am craving salty items and right now it is Sea Salt and Vinger Pork Rinds- cant get enough in fact, why am I craving salt???  Prayers to all and make great choices. love to all, Tanya aka Princess Nurse

Hey Miss Tanya!!  You be careful on your trip!  I know what you mean about craving salty!  I've been doing that lately also!  but aren't pork rinds good for you?  No carbs!!  That's why I love them!  And Vinegar and Salt?  YUMMY!  My favorite!! What internal issues are you dealing with now??  I hope it's not too serious!!  Please be careful!!  I'm planning on coming down the 11th for the dinner in Houston!  Hope to see you there!!

Good morning train riders...not too many people at the station bright and early this morning.  I can't believe I'm up so early, didn't get home until 1:30 am from my usual Friday poker game.  Walked out of there up about $50.00 so not a bad night.   I'm about to be off to the Dallas Support group meeting at Doctor's hospital.  BTW, found out everyone is welcome.  Wish I could attend the McKinney one but I work on Monday until 7pm. Plans for this afternoon are to start packing a few boxes for my DD's move back to college next month.  Not fun, but necessary. Everyone have a GREAT day and enjoy the SUNSHINE!!!!!!!!
