Sunday WLS Express

GOOD MORNING EVERYONE!! I slept till 8am- unheard of for me. Guess I needed it. Chris slept past 7am. On weekdays its all I can do to get him to wake at 7am, but on weekends he usually pops up at 6:30 wide awake. Go figure.  It was great to see everyone yesterday! Chris was having a great morning yesterday- he does really well in situations where its just him and adults, esp ones that are paying attention to him- thanks everyone who visited with him! He has the most trouble when he can't predict what is going to happen next. He knows everyone at the coffee and knows what to expect. But when he interacts with other children, he doesn't know what they're going to do or say and that's overwhelming for him. So much so I've seen him not want to interact with other kids lately- he told me the other day he yells at them or hits them so they'll go away and leave him alone. This is very concerning to me because pushing away people seems like an easy solution to him, but of course that isn't life.  I know its hard for those of you that know Chris to believe he has such troubles, because he really does well with adults. But I appreciate your prayers nonetheless. Well, I'd better get moving. Its 9:15am and I haven't done much of anything. Thank Goodness we don't go to church until 11. lol.

ALISSA-Chris does great with my kids-I guess he THINKS they are adults..lol..oh wait-Corbin is ( I forget!!)...I throughly enjoyed Chris yesterday. I asked him if he had put the scorpian transformer together himself himself-he calmly looked me in the eye, put his hand on my arm, and said "Gina-that's why they have transformer factories"..well...DUH to me..He is a precious little boy and you are blessed to have him--as HE is blessed to have YOU--as WE ALL ARE!!

oh my gosh I just discovered that 1/3 a cup of beans with meat will FILL mr pouch FAST - sweet and they are legal on PB - need to stop and get more plain yogurt after church, used mine to make ranch that is great but everyone is eating it and I don't eat more than a Tablespoon or so at the time max. have extra kids today - girls at that LOL they are so differnt from boys, even though the 4yo is a tomboy she is still quieter than boys. oh well this is the last time I will have them till nov - they live in CA and come and visit dad and stepmom out here and they leave on thurs for a 2 week vacation back east then fly home and dad and smom have differnt scedules and she is off after today till they get back from vacation sara - you are so funny - tell penut to hurry up, there is a whole board of folks wiating for pics of her new babys  had a blast yesterday we took the dart downtown and went to the dallas art mussem and it was a blast - they have great kids programs on the weekends, K brought home his creation and was very excited - now we know bribe him with the kids area so he will come look, at all the art we want - they Tim and I can take turns staying with him and being able to read exibits with out being asked to "come on" a huge blessing droped into our lap yesteday - there was a girly bike by the dumpter and I was looking at it b/c we really want K to learn to ride so we can run more and this couple walked by, asked if I needed a bike that size and I said well acually a boy one a size bigger but I am thinking abuot this one and she says oh what apt do you live in and came back with a boys bike the right size for K - needs one new intertube and a littel wd40 - way better than the $40 we were planning on. DANNI-you are the busiest, most energetic person I know-I get tired just READING about all you do-no matter you're losing so much weight. I cant wait to see you kick some PB butt!!

Good Morning, All You Beautiful  Losers!!!  How the hell are ya???

Thanks for all the congrats on the anniversary.  I REALLY appreciate them.  All relationships are hard to maintain and we work really hard at ours.  It's not always easy, but it's always rewarding. Today I have to finish the cleaning.  I think that Janet may be up to helping out, but right now, she and Emily are playing Monopoly.  So, when I'm done with this post I'm gonna grab a bite to eat and then start on our closet.  I can't wait.  Riiiiiiiiight. Janet's younger sister called her yesterday to ask if Janet could fly to Minnesota to look after her 9 year old son and 5 year old twin boys (yep, 3 BOYS).  She needs to go out of town for her job and her "husband" can't get off work to look after them.  He managers a 30 screen theater and his hours are late afternoon until 2:00 am, so daycare is out of the question.  She's willing to pay for plane tickets for Janet and Emily both to come.  So, I may be on my own for about a week here in a day or so.  Ah, la vida loca!!  Yeah, right. My summer school class starts tomorrow and I am so PSYCHED!!!  Not PSYCHO!!  I will probably have to cut back some on the hours I spend on OH, though.  I am suffering withdrawls, already.  It may be late in the day when I post on the WLS Express, but I will be here.           Gina, aka Stinky Feet - I am filing the Ben Gay on the feet thing in the steel trap that is my mind!!    Janet - Today is day 5 of the PB for me and those crackers sound DIVINE to me right about now    Sara - It sounds like you are having a funfilled weekend.  Soak up those girls now, while you're still their "shero," because, as you know, they grow up fast!      Stephanie G. - Enjoy your gamblin' excursion to OK.  Can you help me pay for Emily's college?  I can put a slot machine in my house!     Alissa - Emily is the same way!!  Can't wake her in the morning for school and can't get her to sleep late on the weekends.  What's up with that??  Good luck tomorrow!!    Danni - Wow!  How lucky on the bike!!!  Love the museum "trick!"    Prayers going out to those in need and love to ALL!!!  

SHARYN--ohhhh--to be alone--I'm so jealous!!!!!! Be good at school--and post when you can!!!

Good Evening, TMB! It's been a goofy weekend....went into Houston yesterday to get nails done, visit with Mom, run some errands.  Woke up late today, DD was on call until 2pm and the most strenuous thing I did was set up the house phone voicemail, plug my phones into the chargers.....and change the channel.  I'm guessing this old bod needed a serious down day!  I was way more tired after working Thurs and Fri for the first time since knee surgery and didn't realize just HOW tired I was. Laundry is about done, need to go fold and hang stuff up.  If you don't see me on the train tomorrow, don't panic - I'll be working onsite at JSC for the next 2 months and I don't think their firewall will let me on OH so.....it will be late when I catch the train.
