Sorry to hear that - I have been in that category for close to a year now (OK - admitting part of the time was due to illness and I did decide to go back to school full time....but it does suck to lose your job.....)

I always see IT jobs on Craigs list and in school districts - I always tout working in a school - the pay may not be as high - but there are lots of other benefits....

Thanks everyone. The outpouring of support has been really good. My Dept has been really nice as well, as apparently the cuts came from a much higher level and my CIO just had to kind of go with it.

OH CRAP!!!  So sorry to hear this Rachel.  Have no idea on any leads for you.  But, I will keep you in prayer that you find a job soon. 

Rachel, I feel for you.  I was laid off on the 12th and have been looking for the last couple of weeks.  It scary right about now!
