I agree with you, Deb. Cooking any bird whole is over rated. I will never cut up another bird. It is the most disgusting thing I can think of. Over and over in my mind plays this, "what was that part doing when this guy was alive?". My vegetarian days are not that far behind me, I guess. The last bird I cooked, the second in my life, turned out really good for everyone else, but for me, it was no fun at all.

Morning all - did you know the train stretches all the way to Charleston, WV???  Yep - sure does.

Several of us stayed over the weekend due to a late Friday afternoon wrap up and it's just too difficult time wise to get home spend a few hours and head right back out.  Went out to a dog track / casino for a few hours last night after a vigorous day of shopping.  Let me just say - Charleston, WV is NOT a shopper's heaven.  Everyone had told us of this "great little shopping area" - uh, there was a total of FOUR stores and all were really expensive.  Now I know why the mall here is always packed!  LOL

Have an important phone call at 11am - hoping it leads to me getting off the road, at least keeping me in the state of Texas more often than not.

It's really cold here again this morning with snow in the forecast for the evening and only getting worse through Wednesday or Thursday - ain't good for this Texas girl!

Just plan on hanging out at the hotel today - I'll go down and hit the treadmill later this afternoon and trying to work up the nerve to try out the eliptical.  I'll miss the Monday Morning Weigh In tomorrow - but will be hoping you all see minus signs in your numbers!

Well wishes to all who need them whether from health issues, job issues or just life in general.

Good morning!!  Slept in a bit this morning as yesterday was a longgggggggg day!  We got up at 3:30 to get ready and head to Garland for the day as my daughter had a cheer competition there... and then we came back home when she was finished.  I guess we got home around 9 last night.  Man was it cold!!!!!  It was 50 out when we left Houston and in the 30's as  we rolled into Dallas!!!  Not prepared for that!

Got word this morning that my stepdad is in ICU not sure if it's related to his cancer or his heart... or a bit of both.  He is doing better but not out of the woods yet.  My mom is just beside herself as she doesn't sleep at night because she keeps checking on him to see if he is breathing.  He and Cam share the same birthday tomorrow and it will be the first time they have not  celebrated together... so I know they are both upset about that. Anyway prayers for my stepdad would be so appreciated!!!

Today is catchup day.... grocery store, laundry and some cleaning!  Yuck!!!

Have a great day everyone!

I had a great day yesterday.  I got a pedi with a dear, long-time friend and met up for coffee with a bunch of new and dear friends.  Thanks Debbie for the invite.

I guess drinking coffee late in the day does c-ra-zeee things to me.  I got home and for absolutely no reason at all I decided to clean out my dresser.  I took everything out of the drawers, one drawer at a time, so I could take stock in what I had.  I did something similar with my closet before surgery and stored all my clothes away by size up in the attic.  They are just waiting for me when I am ready.

When I started putting stuff back in the drawers, I threw away panties that weren't in good shape.  I was left with over 110 pairs of panties remaining.  More than 20 of them still have tags on them.  Now, I am not saying I have a panty thing, but I must have a problem, right?    I probably wear the same 7 pairs over and over again.  This is crazy.   I found some random cuts and not-so everyday panties, too that must have been gifts from the DH and I buried them deep in the drawer.     Might be time to bring those out and celebrate something!

I also threw away about 15 bras that were all stretched out or had broken wires.   I must have thought I'd fix them some day!

And the final drawer was full of panty hose.  I haven't worn panty hose in a couple of years.  Even to weddings or funerals I wear pants, so this was random to me.  They were all Lane Bryant size D or E and in Black or Nearly Black.  I threw away 22 pairs of hose that were opened and had been worn.  I still have 24 packages of unopened, never worn hose.  If anyone wants some of these, let me know.  I don't have a need for this many hose.  I wear jeans and khakis to work.

It was good to clean.  I hate cleaning, but all my drawers are in good shape and I can find what I am looking for.   I know what shorts I have, what sweat pants I have, what PJs I have...it's nice.
It should make for easier donation when the time comes to pass it on to someone who can use it.

I'm going to work out today and keep moving all day in hopes that my Monday morning weigh in will tell me I am officially down 50 pounds.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Y'all enjoy your Sunday.

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date.                                        Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!

AFTERNOON EVERYONE!!! Karla- did you throw Jeri off the train? lol. I've been a lazy girl all morning. Now I just got back from a 30 minute walk with Chris- we are doing this every day now to help BOTH of us. I've even taken to racing him a bit- not a long distance run by any means- just short spurts. I'm not a good runner. Getting him ready for soccer season which starts in a few weeks. We're playing with the Y this time- the new one down the street from my house, which is really nice. Neat pool for the summer.
He's down the street playing with friends now. I'm trying to figure out something special for Bryan and I to do for our first Valentines Day. He's a great planner and would gladly do this I'm sure but he really did alot of the wedding planning due to things going on with Chris so I want to take this on and suprise him with something FUN and special. So if you have any ideas, PM me!
Praying for all those who need jobs- however if I win the lottery I'll just start my own company and hire you all. LOL. Then again I would actually have to BUY a lottery ticket to win I suppose!

Its a beautiful day everyone- hope you're out enjoying it!
