Good Morning to all -

I have a question - will this gas ever go away??????  It is horrible!  I am taking Gas X as directed by my doctor but I swear it sounds and feels like there is a War taking place in my belly!  LOL    I realize I am only 6 days post-op, but I am hoping this gas goes away soon!

Thanks for the replies -

Tracy

My gas was so bad in my chest and upper back that I had to have my husband "burp" me (like a baby) several times a day to get it moving.  I swear that's the only thing that worked.  It's amazing the noise your tummy can make after this surgery but remember it's all worth it.

As one of the other folks said to me when I too asked this question ....... walk, walk, walk.  That also helps move things along.  It takes a bit for all the air they ballooned you up with for surgery to dissipate but walking will help.

Yes the gas will go away eventually!! My stomach grumbled so much the first year it would sometimes wake my husband up!! LOL!! Now, I now only have occasional rumblies but still have issues with gas!!
