Day 2 of the 5dpt, 4 lbs lost. Stuck to it, not 1 cheat. I also walked about  2 miles yesterday. And this is the first time doing the 5dpt that I can remember being able to walk on the first day. Usually I am so washed out. Michelle made the split pea soup, pretty damn good, and today we are having the ham and cheese soup. The orange to help that washed out feeling seems to really work too. Sitting here drinking my protein drink as I read.

FYI, I have been taking a scoop of vanilla protein powder, then about a teaspoon of instant coffee and mixing it up in a shaker. Pretty damn good.

I would like to help you but you cant fix stupid.

Way to go, John...It gets easier each day to be good, especially when you see that scale going down!  I used to do a protein drink like that except I added some cocoa and splenda or would use Hoods calorie countdown chocolate and splenda.  I used to crave them.  I might need to go back to that for a protein drink.

Hang in there...

Not such a great day for me yesterday.  I am definately in a "feeling sorry for me" mode and it is not good.  Gonna stop that as of now.  Too much SF candy last night...my downfall & I'm not buying anymore.  Haven't been on the scale since Sunday when I was up to 139--still in my ok range.

Today:

protein shake for breakfast
dreamfields penne & homemade spaghetti sauce for lunch
don't know about dinner as I'm working later...probably just ham & cheese rollups
protein shake about 1/2 after dinner
100 oz of water

Morning vitamins are in & the whining & feeling sorry for me are over.  Hope everyone has a great day!

Hugs & love,

Jeri

Yesterday was good again:  Calories 1093  Protein: 93  Weight: -0.6 lbs.

Yesterday I stuck to my plan except I didn't have a dinner plan.  We had Pei Wei catered in at work so for dinner I had about 6 bites of chicken, nothing else.

Today is more of the same: Breakfast: protein drink, lunch meat mini sandwich and fruit for lunch, shrimp salad for dinner, have healthy snack packed.

Gotta run to work, be careful on the roads today.

Lynette,

Could you share that 15 bean chili recipe? It sure sounds yummy.

I love to make the 15 bean chili. This is how i make it;

1 bag of 15 bean soup mix (I use the beef flavored) cook the beans with the flavor packet until they are tender ( I only use 1/2 the flavor packet it is pretty strong)

Add 2 cans of rotel tomatos

Add 2 lbs of lean ground beef (brown and rinse first)

Just simmer it all in the pot and serve.

Season with chili seasoning packet or chili powder

Wow, is it really day 23??  Where did the time go.

Today:
B- egg, ham, cheese (and Starbucks)
S-shake or trail mix
L- ham and swiss

All my water and vitamins.

Hugs to all and BE SAFE out there
