WOO HOO Wednesday WLS Express
Good morning all!!! Awwww....the life of a nurse....gonna TRY to get out on the roads, no matter what...Richard will keep his phone nearby in case he has to come get me out of a ditch-or out of some idiot's face...School is delayed 2 hours and the major districts around us are closed, so hopefully that will make for for less traffic than usual. Im also going to wait until daylight to venture out.
My WOOHOO this week is non scale related. I do believe I'm climbing out of whatever FUNK WORLD I've been living in. Part of is that it's been too cold for TRACEY and I to follow our regular 5am running schedule--and I'm very anal about schedules..then I broke my toe when I fell off that stupid ball...then I hit my head on the treadmill cuz of the same ball. I'm going to take TAWNYA's idea of using the ball NEKKID...so I won't slide so much... At least I won't have to worry about anyone interrupting my workout...Bet I'd get GUARANTEED "alone time"...
I FINALLY called the agency I'd like to work 12 shifts for on Friday nights. The owner made me feel good-he remembered me and said he would be "more than honored" to have me back. He SAID there shouldn't be a problem having a patient for me this week. From his lips to God's ears. I'd been procrastinating calling him--fear of rejection, etc...So glad to have it done. It'll put me "up" for 24 hours-from Fri am to Sat am, but then I'd be free for the weekend. We do what we gotta do, ya know!
Hope everyone stays SAFE today..I love each of you SOOOOOO very, very much.....AND THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT IT!!!

Ugh it is cold!! I am sick! Thanks to my boss' wife!!! I started feeling my nose itch and I just knew yesterday I was gonna get sick. I went to Walgreens and bought some Theraflu and taking some home remedies. I have some antibiotics that I may have to crush up and eat with applesauce YUM! I did email my boss yesterday that if the roads were bad, I would go in late, but from the weather reports, it's not worth attempting to drive out to work. I might as well use the day to get better!
Have a great day!! Be safe and warm!!!!
Blessings,
Nina
My Wooo hooo today is that it's my baby's birthday!! He's 11 today. :) WHERE did the time go? He was so excited about it being his b-day that he woke up at about 5:45 and wasn't able to go back to sleep. He usually sleeps until 7:00 when I have to make him get up, so this was a bit unusual. LOL
Hope everyone is having a great day. Stay safe and warm. Love and prayers for all. MAKE GOOD CHOICES!!
Good Morning My TMB Family,
Burrr it's cold outside only 18 this morning. The good thing it is supposed to warm up later today to 40. Eric is off from school today and Mark does not have to go in till 10:00 so we will have another family morning. I was really hoping to get out and get some groceries, but I wont give up hope yet. If it clears up later I may venture it. I have the baby tomorrow and it is so hard to do it with him. Was supposed to travel to Lawton today to get my results from the last scope but with the weather the way it is I calle yesterday and cancelled it. So now it is next week. Hmm trying to think of a WoooHooo for this week. I guess it would be that my Ulcer has been good the last two days! Boy is that sad! Woke up this morning with a pain in my right side..just feels like I slept on it funny. Might warrant taking the heating pad out though. You guys in the Dallas area please be safe if you head out today, and if you can please just stay home. Prayers this morning for those looking for work, Vicky as she recovers from her surgery, and Ms. Que and her back. Have a blessed day. Love you guys. Michelle
Gina- best stop working out on the ball untill you've got supervision and Tawyna is the best. Tawyna- hope work isn't too crazy. Laura, Liz- hope your colds go away SOON! I knew I should have taken Chris to the video store yesterday so he'd have something to watch extra special today. Oh well I bet alot of parents had that idea too! We might end up driving to FW later, after it warms up, because I have 2 scripts at the CVS to get that I normally get because I'm at work. One is more time critical than the other.
Que-hope you get to stay home and rest today instead of trying to drive in all of this.
Anyone want to try for coffee this evening or something? One of my northern friends-that chuckles because they drive in inches of snow to work-asked if essential state staff at least had to be at work. I told her rarely does anyone get more blind because I missed a day so I was NOT essential!
Well its couch time- its a hard life I know. lol. Hope everyone has a great and warm day today!!
I am working my way out of the funk I am in. I had a not-so-productive day at work yesterday and then left early, around 3 hoping to beat the ice storm and rush hour traffic. It worked, but I didn't finish up the day at home like I had hoped. I did work out for an hour, so it wasn't a total loss.
Went to my study group last night at 8 , only three of the 15 or so showed up. It was still a good group. I guess the ice started falling right after I got there becuase my truck was covered in ice when I left. I drove home looking our through a circle about the size of dinner plate. I know, dangerous, but one can only sit in the church parking lot for so long alone. It is only a mile or so home, with one bridge, and at 9:15 it was bad.
I'll be going to work today, but decided I'd go in a little later, waiting until after rush hour.
I wish you all a good day, particularly those of you who have to head in to work. Drive safely.

I weighed 313 pounds on December 1, 2008 the day of my RNY surgery and have lost 81%
of my excess body weight to-date. Current as of November 1, 2009
OH Mini-Challenge Goal for New Year's Day is 170 pounds. 11 pounds to go!
Keep warm!!
Janet
Jeff's interview got canceled yesterday, and won't be rescheduled. Turns out there were two people trying to fill the position and the other one hired someone and didn't tell the guy who talked to Jeff. Grrrr. Oh well, onward and upward.
My woohooo today is that I did measurements again and I've lost 9" off my hips, 1" off my waist and 2" off my chest since my surgery in Dec. I've lost 29" total off my hips since before my RNY!! I'm more that two feet smaller just around my hips! How crazy is that?? Not sure what the weight is and I'm not going to look for at least another couple of days. I'm postponing adding more pics to my profile until this drain comes out, so hopefully next week I'll have some new ones.
I hope you all stay warm and safe today. Don't go out if you don't have to.
Debbi
