Just got my 30-year HS reunion invite

I cannot even believe it has been 30 years since I graduated from high school & I can't wait to go.  NO ONE is gonna even know who I am!!  They all know me as fat & this is gonna be so exciting to get all the reactions.

Where did you go to school?  Will you be able to go to the reunion?  Unfortunately I went to HS in New York, so I can't ever make my reunions.

Hey Steph, I went to HS in Austin...about 20 minutes from where I now live.  I've lived in the Austin area all my life just about.

Jeri.....I have to tell you this since you posted about your 30 yr. high school reunion.     I have been out of high school almost 37 yrs ( OMG....that makes me sound SO OLD !!!! )  Well anyway I went to Tom Thumb yesterday and went through the check out line.   I noticed that the cashier looked vaguely familiar.   When I looked at her name I about died.   It was a person that I had gone to high school with.    This girl was BEAUTIFUL in high school...not so much so now.    When I told her who I was she just kept saying OMG....you look so good I would NEVER thought that was you and she kept on and on.   Made me feel so good !!!!   Ya see I was a LARGE person when I was in high school....always got made fun of for being MO.    No fun....can't wait till my reunion in 3 yrs to show all the ones who made fun of me....that is if they are still alive.   LOL    Had to share that.   You go to that reunion with PRIDE girl !!!

Jeri, DO NOT miss it; go strut  your stuff lady it will be amazingly fun!  I can't wait til we have our 30th, our 25th didn't happen because of Hurricane Rita.  When I went to my 20th I was still one of the biggest there, no more from what I know I'll probably be one of the smallest now and I can't wait.  I'll definitely shop and search high and low for the PERFECT outfit, lol.

Woo Hoo....You're gonna go through that door and watch their mouths drop open! Have a great time...you earned it!

Make sure you go and enjoy yourself.   You earned that right.

I was not MO in high school.  I did not gain my weight until I got out of the military in 1991.  But that is alright.  I feel great now.

I wasn't MO in high school either--that came in later years, but I was always fat.  Not nearly as fat as my brain thought cause when I look at pictures I am surprised at how much smaller I was than my brain registered.

Our 25-year reunion is this summer.  No one was making the plans so I took over and am now planning the reunion.  By golly, I was DETERMINED there would be a reunion so everyone can see the new me!!  :  ) 

(BTW I was a size 11 in high school but felt like I was morbidly obese since all of my friends were a size 3)
