Out of curiosity...was your VSG done Open or Lap??

Just wondering which docs do their VSG open or laporascopically?

Lap-5 small incisions closed with glue, no stitches, no drains

Lap darling.....5 holes......I think he used some of the same holes from my gallbladder surgery but i got a tummy full of little holes now......oh well its a much smaller tummy lol!!

I had gallbladder surgery too but they only used 1 of the same holes. So me too! A smalle belly but full of holes.......

Laproscopically for me. 4 incisions that were steri-stripped. Leisa

lap - 5 holes. 1 drain site aniesa

Lap, three tiny incisions (½ inch/1 cm) and one larger one (about 1½ inches/3-ish cm) at the belly button. I actually thought I had five altogether, but I can only find four scars. He used clips (staples) to close them. The scars I could find are already almost gone, sort of look like almost-healed paper cuts now. No drains, glue or stitches for me either.

Lap here. I have 5 small scars. I can't really see 4 of them, but when the staples came out of the larger scar (on left), she only put the strips on the sides and left the middle without. The middle opened up a little and it didn't heal right. It doesn't look horrible, but it is pinker than the others.  Oh, and I had staples that came out at one week post op. Teresa
