Hang in there -- it will get better! Just get in as much fluid as you can -- try sf popsicles, too. Remember to take really small sips.

Aloha Darline- ah, the dreaded Day 4. I'm sorry you are still feeling bad- I was exactly like you but could not keep anything down, even saliva. I questioned my decision to have surgery and thought Oh s***, what have I done to myself. It DOES get better, my turnaround was the next day- not to say I felt fantastic but at least stuff was staying down.
Try varying the temperature of your liquids ( warm tea or broth). Don't forget about ice chips now that you are home- sucking on them helped me. SF popsicles were my best friend. An electric heating pad on your tummy might help some though it sounds like you're not really painful, more nauseated and sensitive.
Some people are on PPIs ( proton pump inhibitors), reglan ( anti nausea) or H2 blockers ( like pepcid) post op to ease their nausea- the thought of taking a pill was a turn off to me so I did not use anything.
It WILL get better, you will be typing a different post in 24 to 48 hours- XOXOLori
It's fine to ask your question...I was fine on day 4 and flew on a plane, walked a ton, rode in a car for 4 hours, shopped at a mall and got home that night. I was still fine, on day 5 too. People are different! I hope you have no problems flying home.
