I just spoke to her and she's in the ER in hospital in Toronto (our surgeon is in Detroit). :(  She was in a lot of pain and couldn't sleep (hasn't for 2 days) and went in this a.m. at 10:30 or so.  She got a CAT Scan (I believe!) earlier and is awaiting the results. She's afraid that she might have a pulmonary embolism - she is having a hard time breathing when lying down, etc. and that's what the docs are working on finding, etc.

She's pretty down - I can hardly fault her. She hasn't slept in days and obviously isn't eating much, etc.  (If you haven't read her blog, she was in a lot of pain about 24 hrs out of surgery so they took her back in on Friday and put her under. They didn't find a leak but she felt immediate relief from the pain (her pain was an 8/10 before they went back in and she was more a 2/10 afterwards so they obviously found/did something) and she went home yesterday.

I told her to call me if she had any news and if I don't hear from her tomorrow, I'll touch base in the afternoon to see what's up.  So I would say keep Judyth in your prayers and thoughts for an answer.

Oh no, I hate to hear of someone suffering like this.   I'll be sending my prayers up for a quick and easy solution for her.   I hope the rest of her recovery is much easier and better.

I am and will be praying for her.  I had pulmonary emboli in 2006 and can tell you it is scary but is treatable if caught early. I do pray for a speedy recovery.
In Christ,
Sharon

Oh the poor darling. That's terrifying for her. tell her to let go and let God. She can trust him. In fact. She should thank him in advance. I recently recovered, withh surgery and meds from jugulat thrombosis. It's rotton luck, and frigtening. I pray she has not progressed to PE but if she has I commit her to God's care......plus, the doctors and nurses are amazing with this stuff.

Keep us updated. Tell her in two weeks it will all be over, and life will be normal again.

Stops to pray!

I had 2 pulmonary embolism a couple years ago after surgery.  I was really tired and had no energy.  I had two blood clots in my lungs. It wasn't discovered for about 2 weeks.  I was really lucky I survived.  I called my doctor told him my symptoms and he knew immediately that I had PE's.   went to the hospital and they did I think a MRI and found the PE.  They should be able to find them immediately.  May God bless her and keep her safe.  I had to be on comadin for about 6 months and I have never had a problem since.  Thank goodness for modern medicine.  My prayers are with her.  Annie

Two YEARS after surgery?  Was it in any way related to the surgery?

That is just awful.  She must be terribly frightened.  I will keep her in my thoughts and prayers.
