I think I tried it at about 8 weeks out, it was around the 2 month mark that I made a tuna casserole and I had alittle bit of egg noodles but it was only like a forkful. It went down fine.

Hee hee hee - go ahead and try it - your tummy will let you know that that craving will soon be just a memory - I've already had to throw up twice and both times it was from trying to eat Italian pasta.  I'm 18 months out and still can't handle more than one or two forkfuls of pasta....UNLESS it is asian rice noodles...but unfortunately Italian food  and my sleeved tummy are no longer compatible - and I am half Italian and grew up with pasta as a mainstay.  What you can do to get that craving satisfied is make little moist meatballs and drizzle them with sauce and parmesan....or thin eggplant parmesan.  You will learn what works as you try different things...

I'm with Donna, it must swell up in there, casue it takes up too much space like bread adn then makes me ill.. I can have a penne or shell one of two, not even bites. I guess its good cause I used to down it by the plateful. Same with bread, but not crackers for some reason.

My program has me doing beans, pasta, rice and bread at 7 months out.  I don't think it whether or not your tummy can handle them but the carbs that go along with them.

I started about a month out.   I eat pasta 2-4 times a week if not on a daily basis.  No problems with the digestion.

I think I was about 6 months out. I made the Dreamfield's pasta and it went down OK but it's really filling and kind of a waste of tummy space, IMO. If you do try it, just go with one bite for now since you'll be testing new waters (so to speak).

I tried it last week (4 weeks).  My surgeon wants me to definitely limit carbs but not cut them out entirely.  I was kind of shocked that the post-ops had been telling the truth:  those carbs aren't as good as they seem.  Bread is a nightmare for me--I only had one bite of someone's breadstick and yikes.  My bite of pasta just seemed bland and actually I didn't like the texture as much.  What I actually got was pasta e fagioli and the beans were fine.  I do not plan on having bready things again very soon.  I say go ahead and eat a bite or two and most likely you'll feel just like me and be craving steak or chicken.
