Hey DivaDimples, Thanks so much for posting I haven't had surgery yet but its a good reminder when I do to make sure I stay hydrated, I think sometimes we are so focused on protein, early out and don't put enough emphasis on fluids, there is only so much room in our tiny tummies I'm sure I will be battling this as well, I'm so sorry you have to go through this I hope you continue to improve and feel better soon so you can enjoy the new you.......hugs

I'm Still a work in progress, I wont give up the quest to reclaim my life, I will be whole again someday!

Glad you are feeling better and thanks for the insight.  I will definitely keep this in mind when I have my surgery.  Be encouraged!

Hi Diva....I'm so sorry that our going through all this. Praying that things get better and you progress with your recovery. It is definitely a reminder to increase my liquid intake as I have not been getting the required amount in since surgery. I have however not had issues with eating. Prior to surgery I roasted a bumch of carrots, onions and celery and then pureed them to where they almost go through a mesh strainer. I froze it in small containers and I now take a few tablespoons and add a couple ounces of broth to it. It goes down well and gives me the feeling of having soething more than just broth. I have been on thin urees for a few days now and have had refried beans with a pureed turkey chilli that I also made pre op and froze. I drop an ounce of shredded cheddar on it and nuke it for about 45 seconds. I also made a homemade turkey soup using ground turkey and veggies pre op and froze it and I have been pureeing that. I have tried tuna and salmon pureed and they have all gone down without issue. Just a few ideas for when you are progress but try the pureed cooked veggies with broth. Wishing you well!!!
