I already know the answer.
You know, I'm 3 months out, and I HAVE had a couple bites of dessert from time to time. I have had a square of chocolate from daughter's candy bar. The neat thing, is that one square satisfied me ! And I was done. Once you get to regular foods, and if you can eat just a couple bites....that is normal eating, for a skinny person !!! (which is what we all hope to be !!!)
Interesting post. I have had ZERO desire to eat anything sweet, was kind of wondering if anybody else had had this 'happen' (nothing has happened but I wasn't formerly so turned off by sweets.) to them. Admittedly, I was never a sweets nut to begin with but I'd partake on occasion. Now, it doesn't even sound half way appealing.
I havent craved sweet stuff nearly as bad as I used too. Sweets were my thing however now I find I want salty stuff and to much of that isnt good either. Usually the only sweet stuff I have is crystal light and that is watered down. I used to eat candy bars alllll the time and havent even had a desire to eat one since having surgery. I did try the sugar free chocolate but the one piece was enough.
Thay were giving away sample pieces of chocolate bar in the grocery store yesterday AND coupons good for one whole bar. I took the little half inch square sample and let it melt in my mouth, and it was yummy but plenty enough. And I did NOT use the coupon, or go home and want a bunch more candy. I think it's ok if you are sure you can deal with only having ONE. And make someone else bring you ONE, not a whole bag, if you ever decide to break down!
