Fruit
I allow myself 1/2 cup of fruit a day to keep the carb and sugar count low (I'm VERY carb sensitive so it's the one thing I am truly anal about, LOL). I start my day with a protein smoothie and use unsweetened frozen berries mainly (strawberries, blackberries, raspberries or a mix with all of them plus blueberries generally speaking). I've had the occasional sliver or two of melon. We ate at Red Robin and i ordered one of my favorite burgers with no bun and had them substitute fruit for the fries. Could only eat half hte burger and a bite or two of the fruit and saved the rest for the next day.
I do love bananas but they tend to be pretty high in sugar so I avoid them for the time being. Been craving a peanut butter and banana smoothie though, LOL, so I may have to 'splurge' one day next week. My grandson will eat the banana that I don't, he loves them.

At this point, almost 9 months, I can eat pretty much anything and don't worry about seeds and skins. Breakfast on weekdays is 1/2 c 0% cottage cheese with 1/2 c blueberries. That's about the only fruit I eat, other than right now it's strawberry season, so I've enjoyed a few fresh strawberries, yum!
As others have said, bananas have too much sugar for me, as do most other fruits. I did make chicken salad one time with grapes in it, which was delicious! But my carb count was higher than usual on the days I ate it, so fruits like that are an occasional treat right now for me.
Eventually when I get to maintenance and can up my calories a bit, I plan to do that by increasing protein, fats, nuts, and fruits/veggies (not carbs). But while I'm in the losing phase, I keep fruit low.
