oh yeah, this is why no steak and stop when you're full! LOL!
i am sorry you couldnt enjoy that steak but i can say eventually you will be able to eat it again. my first steak was about 6 months post op and i was in heaven. i call our little tool my personal fun house of mirrors one wrong move and it will hurt. keep up your amazeing progress and try steak agian in a month or so. just chew it really well and in very small pieces.
I had a very tiny piece of steak and cut it into tinier pieces and chewed the heck out of it . Tasted really good and had no issues so I guess it's depends on your tummy. I would try it again in a month or so and just make sure you really chew it and that it is a very tender steak. Maybe make a swiss steak in a tomato sauce because cooking it in sauce breaks the fibers up and makes it very tender where it falls apart. Good luck!!
Steak is the best protein option for me, and always has been. For some strange reason, chicken and pork give me more trouble than beef even at 23 months out. Hopefully, steak will be back on your menu in the near future.

I was eating ribeye as soon as I was released to regular food my 4th week post-op. Some steak is tougher than others and you may need make sure it isn't overcooked and tough. I can't eat steak um's. Meat is tougher and makes me hurl. Ribeye melts in my mouth. It could be all in the way it is prepared. Just a thought . . .
went to a business brunch on Sat a.m. and steak and eggs was the only protein that i could order without eggs. steak was soooooooo good!!! AND THEN . . . endless
