1st Day of Pre-Op Diet & a Promise
Today was my 1st day of the pre-op liquid diet. Not fun, but I'm surviving. I even sat by all my co-workers as they had lunch while I "enjoyed" (yeah right) a protein shake. Drank LOTS of water (60 oz by 4 p.m.) and invented a peanut butter shake - 1% milk, 2 scoops PB2, 2 scoops bariatric advantage meal replacement unflavored. A little thick, but a relief after 2 sweet chocolate shakes (b-fast and lunch).
Now for my promise - I promise you (but more importantly myself) that I will not let this get me down. No matter what, I will keep a positive attitude, knowing that this too shall pass. After surgery, I will smile thru any pain or discomfort knowing that I am doing this to be a healthier, happier, better me; so that I can do all of the things that my weight now limits me from doing!
Thanks all for all of the support you have given me and the support that I know you will send my way! Cheers (big swig of peanutbuttery yuckiness!)

Hey sweetie, the first 3 days were the hardest for me. I realized i wasn't eating anything because i didn't really like my choices, but after that i made sure to eat some broth or soup or something when i was hungry. i lost 18 lbs in those 2 weeks so that was great. This is all part of the fun and one day soon you will look back and be very proud of yourself. You got this babe :o) jeani
