My Own Personal *NSV*

I have yet to have the surgery, but I'm on day 7 of my two week liquid pre-op diet and I've been complaining ALL the way....however, as I was getting ready for church this morning, I began to contemplate what I was going to wear, especially since most of my clothes have become too small. Well, I had a brand new "outfit" that I'd purchased from LB about a month or so ago that I hadn't worn because I felt as if the pants were going to be too little (i bought another pair @ the same time I purchased this outfit and they were TIGHT, TIGHT, TIGHT in the waist *same size*). Well, to my amazement, the pants fit GREAT, and I actually felt & looked good! Though I'm kind of over this whole pre-op thing (If I could stick to a diet I wouldn't need surgery), I was glad that my commitment to this diet is paying off. I'm thrilled!

WAY TO GO.  I'm still a month or so away from my 2 week liquid diet but I have a few friends have done it.  I hope and pray it goes well for you!  Keep up the positive attitude

Your surgery is 4 days before mine, and I so know how you feel. I agree with everything you said. I'm staying close to home to avoid eating someone's arm. I just keep reminding myself of two things: #1 I am self-pay. I can't afford to do anything that will increase the chance of complications or lower chance of success. #2....well I forgot #2 because I'm so hungry. Seriously.

That's why I'm coming to this forum so much.  You hang in there. I'm going to be looking for your posts because of our surgery dates.

You're so right! I'm self-pay too, so it's EXTREMELY important that I succeed. I can't AFFORD NOT to. Add me as a friend, we can keep one another encouraged!

To all others that commented....THANKS!!! You don't know how good that made me feel!!

That's a great (pre-op) NSV, and it's those kinds of things that will help after surgery too.  It sounds like you are doing everything just right, so congratulations, and best wishes as you continue prepping for surgery!  Keep us posted,  Viv
