So, I've been preparing myself for months, reading every post possible on this site, just trying to get an idea of others' experiences and what to expect. I had been expecting some weight gain post op due to fluids, air etc from surgery. Alot of others have said they gain between 2 and 15 lbs post op because of various things.

Well, Tuesday (surgery day), I weighed in at 341 at the hospital. I have ignored my scale until this morning, hoping I would be about the same, giver-take.

Low and behold....my scale said 333!!! Holy Canoli??? 8 lbs in 5 days??? I even got off and back on several times to make sure I wasn't seeing things. LOL

Don't get me wrong, I am THANKFUL!!! I was just not expecting it!

That little 8 lbs mades a few days of discomfort well worth it! And I know it will keep going down, so all the better!

Happy Sunday, everyone!!!

Congrat's!!  I lost 7 pounds just 3 days after getting home from the hospital also..I never gained anything while in the hospital.  Consider ourselves lucky!!  I was 340 on surgery day also..354 just before i started the two week preop diet.  Get ready for a heck of a year ahead of you!!
