Eating like its my last meal ever HELP!
No judgement here, I had my food funerals too, but I was able to avoid hurting myself or my preparation process to do it.
I just wonder if, like my good friend, you might do well to line yourself up with a counselor or therapist? She found that working through some of her emotional eating issues before the surgery really jump started her whole program. She tells me she went into her surgery better prepared and has lost "175 lbs and 40 years of bad attitudes," in a little over 2 years.
She's an inspiration to me, and her success led me to this wonderful journey.
Best wishes on your health, and congrats on getting your date. Look forward to sharing the losers bench with you.

I'm guilty of this, too. My big love in the food world is an ice-cold Pepsi Throwback (real sugar, not corn syrup). Bet I drank a case and a half in the last month, knowing that I won't be able to drink it again. Put on three pounds. Since starting my 7-day liquid diet I have not craved it once. I also treated myself to a pork tenderloin, a cheeseburger and a filet minon in the two weeks before my pre-op diet. I knew I was going to do it, didn't go overboard as much as I thought I would, and moved on. You will, too.
I've been doing similar things....though my gall bladder has had enough and will no longer let me (spent last night in major pain for 6 hours - no sleep til 6:30 AM!!!!) I'm going to have my gall bladder removed at the same time. But, I know exactly what you mean. Each day I'm thinking to myself "hmmmm, what do I want to have today that I know I'll never be able to eat in large quantities again?" Unfortunatey (or actually fortunately), it doesn't look like I'll be able to keep that up. Don't beat yourself up, have your food funerals occasionally, and just get yourself psyched for surgery. And don't gain weight. My surgeon will cancel your sugery if you gain more than 10 lbs while waiting for surgery.
omg I though I was the only one
I gained 4 pounds ahhhhhh its been really bad I need to stop
the best part is that I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks for 1 week OMG its really going down from there and then start liquid diet that Monday GOD HELP ME LOL
I really have no good advice because I'm doing the same thing but we need to try to be better its for our own good
I can't promise I'll be good on vacation
GOOD LUCK
